Outback Steakhouse.......Red, White and Blue Menu

  • september63
Offering a select 9.99 menu during the month of March and will be donating 1 Million Dollars to the US Troops fund!! This is a HR of a marketing campaign.

If they want to donate to the US Troops fund...do it. Don't make a marketing campaign out of it for their own benefit.

Good for them donating money, but I'm not a fan of the Outback. Huge letdown the only time we went.

Yeah damn those companies trying to do a good deed while benefitting their company!

Yeah, no other business has ever done that. It isn't as if anytime you see a charity drive or benefit the businesses or individuals that sponsor reveal who they are. After all, why would they?

Even for a troll post, that was nonsensical.

I'd rather provide my money to foreign countries who are in need. Our government does enough for our military and it's families.

Great, there are many worthy international charities. That had absolutely nothing to do with your original post, but I'm sure you realize that.

Just be warned, international charities also accept corporate donations that advertise/market their contributions.

It absolutely did. There is no reason for companies to donate to our military and it's families when they are receiving more than enough from our government.

Not necessarily true. Yeah, the military gets very expensive machinery, but that doesn't mean the average person serving in the military gets huge wages... or "more than enough".

Is the million dollars somehow less helpful because they told everyone about it?

Absolutely. It's less than a million dollars because of this reason.

Very true. The military is the military because the military is of the military. It's expensive military.

This was about a nice marketing move by Outback Steakhouse. Society, you are THE same one that posted, I will not donate to any Haiti effort, when there are so many causes here in our own country that need help!!!

Veterans and Active Duty soldiers also get a free bloomin' onion.

Yes, unlike our military, which is VERY well funded by our government. I'd rather see Outback take this million dollars and provide it to another group or country which is much more in need.

Our military provided more than enough aid to Haiti. Not that they didn't need it, but....you can see where I'm heading with this.

No, i cant see at all. YOu criticize Outback for donating to the US military fund. You also say, you would rather send your money to a foreign country that needs it. Three weeks ago, you said, You would never send money to a foreign county because there are better causes right here in the US. CONTRADICTION!!!!

Exactly. What is the contradiction? Our military doesn't need to be funded by a private organization when it is funded very well by its own citizens by the taxes they are paying. No contradiction at all. Different circumstances.

Doesn't everyone know Society has some kind of vendetta against the US military by now? He supports NOTHING that has to do with the military.

Really? Where did you come up with that? I love how people on here make conclusions without actually knowing anything.

You said, You would rather see Outback send this money to another group or country more in need? Yet last month, you also said, you would never donate money to Haiti as long as there are causes here in the US that need it more. These are CONTRADICTIONS!! Im done with ur silly back and forth too.

No. Not contradictions. The US military is not in need of this money. Other groups in this country and other countries are. Regarding Haiti, I would rather donate my money to causes in the US that are in need of money, not the US military. What the fuck don't you understand? The US military is not in need of money. If they are, then they should not be sending support to other countries or occupying other countries.

Even though I have been described as mildly retarded. I see no contradiction here.

Seems like a win-win-win (charity, the company, and their customers). It would seem that someone would have to work really hard to find a problem with that scenario.
