Me and my fiancee's house that we moved into a few months ago. I love being a home owner!

We closed on our place in May of 2008, so we've been there a year and a half now. We really like it and enjoy the area--it's about 20 mins from downtown, where I work, and 10 mins from the airport. We're just a little over an hour from the north suburbs of Chicago, too. The community in general is pretty young, though our neighborhood is mostly 35-45 year olds with a few kids. Still, we plan to stay here at least 5 years or so, and then take stock from there.

Sherm, how long was that house on the market? What part of town is it in again? It looks familiar.

It never technically went on the market. Our realtor knew it was going to be listed, and we made an offer before it actually went up on the market. It's in Norwood near Indian Mound.
