The Office: The Delivery

  • Glory Days
Ok, nevermind, looks like Angela is going to have some competition with Pam's sister.

I've watched it. It sucked. It sucked more than any Office episode has ever sucked before.

Obviously you can tell me what you found about it that even resembled the first 3 seasons. It is a different show now. It should be called Gilligan's Office. That's how shitty the writing is.

Thought it was a great episode, laughed out loud many times. Loved the part when the male breast feeding specialist came in and Jim's making all the little comments.

Definitely the best episode since The Wedding. Alot of little things that were hilarious.
  • Manhattan Buckeye
I watched the whole darn thing....what about the episode did you find amusing? It was awful. If you want to convince me otherwise have at it, but jeez, compared to how the show began with real life office situations - I can't even explain what this was. Other than terrible. It SUCKED!

I don't know what it is, but the show still has that uncomfortable awkwardness, but I just don't find it funny. Tonight's episode was a little better than the last few, but I am really starting to lose interest.

well, considering most of the episode was about having a baby, which isnt all funny, Dwight had a pretty funny episode and it was funny seeing jim deal with having the baby.

if you watched it all, why was Dwight tearing apart the kitchen?

    Ok....

Jim and Pam fell in love...

    Jim and Pam got married

Jim and Pam have had a baby.....

    Now what?

Jim and Pam experiment with swinging

Jim and Pam switch gender roles

Jim and Pam adopt two Asian children

    the possibilities are really endless.

Very little about Season 1 related to a true office setting. Diversity day?? Really??? Anyone in charge of an office would've been fired for what Michael did in that episode. It's not REAL, it's television! Entertainment, that's all. If you have to find reality in everything you watch, that has to be rather boring.

Dwight has threesome with Angela and Pam's sister while Andy and Erin watch through the plants.

"if you watched it all, why was Dwight tearing apart the kitchen? "

Because the writers are too lazy to understand that Jim (well, Seasons 1-3 Jim) would never let Dwight into his house!!!! It is a plot device. Again, there are two "Office" shows. The first 3 seasons, and the crap that's beeng going on since season 4. If you enjoy it, have at it, I'm not trying to pee in your Cheerios, but the current show is beyond stupid to me. I should probably stop watching it because it will likely never get back to the level it was in the early years.

    Great episode!

Good episode. It suffered from most of the same problems that hour long episodes have. Namely that the first half of the episode is great, the second half is much less than great.

LOL...I've never seen someone get as pissed off about a TV show as Manhattan Buckeye did.

You're probably the type of guy that likes attaching jumper cables to your nipples and having chicks stomp on your junk with high heels, too...right?

If you think the show sucks so bad...don't fucking watch it!

Manhatten.....if imm not mistaken didnt Jim let Dwight in his house during i believe season 2 when Jim had a house party where Dwight and Angela were getting it on in the dog house in the backyard

yeah, he wanted his roommate to meet Dwight.

In regards to this season...it was a good episode....the 2nd half hour was very funny, to me, but I've got small kids and can relate to all that hospital stuff and Jim having a lot of anxiety about being a new dad.

Ever since the writers strike and since Michael Schur (aka Mose) went to write for Parks & Rec...the show hasn't been close to what it was in seasons 1-3....I'll even throw in season 4.

Seasons 5 & 6 have been (by and large) embarassing....and just hasnt been good writing. It's turned into slapstick instead of the wit that made it such a good show. It's been cheapened for a mass audience.

I dont like it either.....but the show just isn't near as funny...and that happens. Especially with the bar the show set.....first 3 1/2 seasons were some of the funniest ever on TV.

Maybe because a show has never gone down so quickly and so much as The Office has. I understand it is difficult to maintain quality, after a while ideas dwindle. There's a reason why Cheers and Seinfeld still aren't on the air. I understand the "mockumentary" concept has been completely discarded. That doesn't bother me that much. What grinds my gears is that it isn't the same show or even the same characters. I can handle Andy in small doses, but making him a major character (and also completely changing his character) and the forced plot with Erin were big mistakes. They've run the well dry with Jim/Pam (and made both of them lose about 30 IQ points each in the process) and turned Michael from a halfway sympathetic clueless boss to a caricature. I'd dare anyone to watch Casino Night on dvd and go back and watch last night's episode on hulu and claim that it is even similar.

I thought it was pretty good--it was the most I've laughed during an episode this season...it's not what it used to be,but it's definitely better than the "Michael Scott Paper Company" era
  • RedRider1
    ^^Agreed.

There were some very god moments in last nights episode, very subtle ones. For instance when they were all at the hospital and Phyllis says she has to leave cause she has an ice cream cake in the car. When Jim and Michael come out to announce the arrival of the baby, the do a quick scan of the group and Phyllis is freakin' killing the ice cream cake and has it all over her face!!!! THATS what I love about this show. It's the little things!
