That's one of the reasons I went with the Droid..but quite honestly..I don't think I've ever used it since I got it.

i am glad it has it though. the only time i dont use it is when i only have to type one word or something for a quick search. i find it much faster to text with the actual keyboard.

that being said if you are in the clintonville area I work at a verizon store.....:)
if u work for verizon, i feel sorry for the customers.....

As I type, 1,614 app catalog apps and many homebrews apps that havent made the catalog and beta apps on top of that and palm released an app so we can download beta apps.

App Selection Grows to Over 2000 For US Pre Owners

I am sorry that I dont keep an up to date count of the number of applications available for the pre plus. You are correct sir it does make a difference that the pre plus has 1600 applications especially when you compare that to the 25,000+ applications available on the android phones.

After the issues I have seen with the sprint pre, I stand by my statement that I do not trust the hardware right now. I have read many bad reviews of people complaing about the hardware breaking or being faulty about the palm pre. From the trainings I have done all of the improvements verizon has made to the pre plus has been software related. I have chose to wait a month or 2(so far so good) to see how the hardware holds up, because I dont want angry customers coming back with a broken phone, Especially with a proven commodity like the droid . That being said Webos is fantastic and I would love to see more palm phones with the webos.

some things with the nexus one that some consider positives and some consider negatives. The phone will not be sold and serviced directly in stores. you will have to go directly through google for any issues with the device. No going into a verizon store and leaving with a working model.

You call a phone "amazing" even though it's just now getting basic features? Yawn.
    what phone do u have?

I'm loving the WebOS on the Pre. I'm still working on customizing my phone with Homebrew apps and patches, but I'm very impressed so far. I bought the phone 2 weeks ago.

It's a great phone now, can't wait to get some more carriers and a few different models out there and developers and apps will start flowing at a faster rate.

It's rumored that Palm will be making Sprints first 4G phone and hopefully it will be a larger screen phone with touchscreen and a physical keyboard.

IUhoosier, are you a member at precentral.net? If not, it's the best place for ALL of your WebOS needs.....

And you also want to keep that return rate down...right? :)

Most people don't realize that, and I'm glad you pointed that out. You can't buy the N1 in retail stores, and when something goes wrong...you are shit out of luck for the duration of time you have to send it to Google and wait for a replacement/repaired phone to be sent back to you. The N1 looks great on paper...but I really think Google screwed the pooch with that deal.

    Sherm...you work for Motorola right?

After reading all this though, the fact that I won't be able to service the nexxus through verizon may be the factor that pushes me to the droid
  • sherm03
Yes bases, I work for Motorola.

Well...technically I work for a marketing company, and work exclusively on the Motorola account.

I have the Palm Pre Plus and I love it. My girlfriend has an Iphone, but it doesn't have a keyboard and seems to big for my liking. Never used a Droid, but it seems bulky too.
