Home run or dunk?
-
said_aouitaA question asked on the Dan Patrick show. Thought would be good on freehuddle.
What would you rather be able to do, dunk or hit a home run? -
gorocks99Dunk, b/c as a 5'10" white guy it'd come out of nowhere.
-
se-alumDefinitely dunk.
I could hit home runs in HS(though few and far between), but couldn't dunk. -
Thunder70I've hit a homerun. Never dunked...
-
said_aouitaNever hit a home run, dunked a girls basketball. I was not manly enough to dunk a dudes ball....
-
BenitoDunk for sure.. I hit a Handful of homeruns in high school and while I could dunk it never happened in a game. I always dreamed of getting a breakaway right in front of our student section and putting one down though.

Con_Alma...win an Olympic 1500 meter race.
To answer your question directly...hit a home run in an MLB game. -
majorsparkDefinitely dunk.
-
thedynasty1998I can dunk, and have dunked (actually dunked against OSU in an Exhibition game in college, which was my most high profile dunk of career).
I think hitting a home run is a feeling of satisfaction, while a dunk is a burst of energy due to the momentum it can create. With that said, I'd rather dunk. -

justincredibleHome run.

Manhattan BuckeyeI didn't watch the show, is it a HR in a MLB game or a dunk in the NBA or just the ability to hit a ball 330+ feet or dunk on a 10 foot rim at the local gym? I'm just curious how the question was posed. Lots of people can (or at least could) do both, but they probably couldn't hit a HR off a MLB pitcher.
-
GOONx19Dunking. I've done both, but dunking is much more satisfying in my mind.
-
queencitybuckeyeA home run has a greater impact on the game, usually. I'll go with that.
-
BORIStheCrusherI've hit home runs before in high school and bet I still could if I took some BP at a smaller park (non pro). Would be cool to dunk like I used to when I was younger and could lower the adjustable hoops.
-
RotinajIf the question is be able to hit a HR at a major league park then i would rather be able to do that without question. Many more people can dunk than hit it out of a major league park.
-
Laley23Well Im just south of 6 feet, 5' 7/8'' white guy. But I have some pretty good ups and can throw down pretty good in HS and College (once got a 2 hander in a game).
So this is pretty easy, hit a HR. -
Manhattan Buckeye
I suppose it depends on the park. Minute Maid Park in Houston is only 315 feet on the left porch. With some exceptions MLB fields aren't a whole lot bigger than some HS fields. Now MLB pitchers vis a vis HS pitchers - that certainly is another issue.Rotinaj wrote: If the question is be able to hit a HR at a major league park then i would rather be able to do that without question. 3reppomDunk, no question. I am a 5'5" 210 pound white guy, accordingly I don't look like I am capable of any feats of athletic ability. Me throwing down in a game would shut it down. Hell me slapping the board on a layup during a pickup game had nearly the same effect.
-
FiradDunk. I'm a 5'8 150 pound white guy so I have never dunked before. I would love to posterize some douche on the hardwood.
-
thePITmanIf we're talking hitting a HR in the MLB, I'd MUCH rather do that... Actually being able to hit MLB pitching out of the park would be WAY more satisfying than being able to dunk in the NBA, which can be done on any fast break the same in high school, college, or the NBA - same size hoop, etc.
-
ksig489Dunk...but only if it was a two handed windmill facial dunk.
I've hit a walk off grand slam...it felt pretty good. -
