What is really the best time of your life: College or High School?

    Tough call.

Freshman year of college can't be beat though.

    college all day

    College was the best.
More girls with no curfew and freedom to do what you wanted anytime of the day.Well as long as i didn't have practice or class. You also had the chance to make new friends who were from other parts of the country that were a blast.

Both were really fun. College was way better than high school though. You are out on your own and have more independence. It was great.

    Neither.

College was the most fun but if I had to go back I'd pick high school. No stress, no job...it was ridiculously easy. I paid for school and living expenses in college and it was a very stressful time.

High school was hanging out with your friends for six hours a day.
And in college you hang out with your friends 24 hours a day.

I had a blast in HS and I'm having a blast in college. High school mostly because of sports, there was nothing better than playing them with the guys that have been my best friends since I was two feet tall.

College mostly because of the freedom. No curfew, no parents, everyone can just do whatever the hell they want all the time. The most fun I currently have is a mix of both; when a) I go home and we get crazy because we're all of age and we're not 17 year olds that have curfew b) HS friends come visit here and it's a mix of them and all my college buddies

I'd say separately college is more fun but my college friends and I have discussed it before...if we could transplant our respective "homes" and the HS friends from there all here, we'd do it in a heartbeat and that would be the absolute best.

    High School gets my vote.

And I go to OSU, so that throws the whole "LOL U PICKED DA WRONG SCHOOL" argument out.

I didn't really have a curfew in high school so maybe that's the difference. Of course I didn't do much partying or "bad" things either so that's probably why there wasn't a curfew.

I honestly don't know how high school could have went better, other than me doing more of my assignments in the few classes I slacked off in. That is literally the only thing I'd change about it.

Things were cool then. Shit is terrible now.

I loved about 95% of high school.

I have loved about 80% of college.

Therefore, high school gets my vote.

High School- no pressure, fun and games
College- pressure cooker with some fun and few games
So, I would have to pick high school
Of course both were so long ago ..................

    Between the two, college.

Hopefully the best times in your life come after both.

If you went away to college and lived on campus >>>>>than HS which was a lot of drama and petty bullshit and rules. There should n't even be a comparison. If you actually think that HS is/was better than college, I feel sorry for you. Campus life should be 100 times better than living at home with your parents and picayune rules/ requirements of HS.

When I first read the question this was my immediate reaction, why would anyone NOT say college over HS? But to the point above if you stay at home and commute to the local CC or university I can see how the college experience is lacking, and really it isn't an experience but rather a means to an end. The majority of my HS class that attended college commuted, including an older brother so I could see how they would say HS. My brother commuted to Marshall and was constantly complaining how tough it was to meet people and find dates. Well, if all you do is drive in to class, leave afterwards and study at home I can see how it would be tough. The overwhelming number memories I have from college have nothing to do with classes but the relationships made in living in a collegiate residential atmosphere.

This is the case with most of life. The memorable qualities are the relationships that result.

I guess college is what you make it.

    College, overwhelmingly.

When comparing the two, I'd have to go with college. But I don't really like to dwell on the past too much. I am at a really good place in my life right now and look forward to what's ahead.

Neither for me really...I'm enjoying life after college more than college or high school.

Of the two in the poll, I would say high school, it was pretty care free, and just playing baseball all the time. I got my bachelor's in 3 years and commuted from home, so I was really busy during college, and pretty much hated it...Not much of a party-person either.

Everyone here is wrong wrong wrong!!!!

In retrospect, kindergarden was the best time of my life. When I was in kindergarden they still only did half days. I was in the morning class. So let me break down how my days went. My mom woke me up, made me breakfast. I took a bath. Then watched cartoons until it was time to go. Once at school, I played with the blocks with my friends. Had story time, followed by coloring and then it was snack time. Then at noon, my mom picked me up, made me lunch. Then it was pretty much watch TV and play with my toys until bed time. I got up the next morning and did it all over again.

So really kindergarden was the best time of my life. No responsibilities, no job (other than picking up my toys) no bills to pay, no worries.

^ Winner. Kindergarten was a blast. Except for the day I got a timeout because I refused to play duck duck goose. That was not such a blast.

High school. Pretty much all of the cool experiences you go through in life all start happening then for the first time which makes it even better. One day you're being drove around by mom and dad, next you're out driving on your own and with your friends. Everybody parties in college, but throwing the biggest party in school on New Years Eve when your parents are gone is something else. You go from being a virgin to hooking up with multiple girls. Skipping class in college doesn't mean shit, but ditching last period and sneaking out on Friday to pick up some beer before the football game does. I did everything in HS that I did in college without all of the responsibilities. Stayed out late, partied like crazy, played sports, and had nothing to worry about other than getting good grades. I'd do it all over in a second if I had the chance.

I was on campus my freshman year of college and it was still worse than high school.
