About 110 or so in a '92 VW Passat on the Ohio Turnpike in between Lordstown and Streetsboro.

123-133 on my K7 Gixxer (see avatar) on numerous occasions on Hwy 287 and I-20 in Arlington, TX. Regularly (and probably stupidly) will do up around 100 on the main street that goes by my subdivision.

1974 Dodge Coronet... 102 mph.... It had more, but I did not. I can say I did it one time and that is enough for me.

LJ: had a cousin killed in November '08 on his 'busa. he was stunting on the street that he lived on. I was also in an accident on my gixxer in May '08 and only had a sprained ankle after someone attempted an illegal u-turn into my lane of traffic - we were both going to the same way before the illegal u-turn was attempted. I try to ride more safely and only speed in wide open areas, but I can do a lot better than I'm doing as well.

Speeding is dangerous. This kinda makes me feel a bit bad about braggin' on it. Thanks for the reminder about the downside - seriously.

I did some very stupid things in my youth.
    115 on a Suzuki

not sure of the top speed, but in the mid 70's I drove a Ford pickup with a big block engine, the needle on the speedometer went all the way around. After going past Zero it was up to 30 MPH when the wind vibration sounded and felt like the cab was coming apart. The man running with me in a Plymouth with a 383 in it said his 120 MPH speedometer went all the way around and was well past zero too.

On a cross country trip while in Kansas I topped out at 125 MPH in a Buick with a 455 engine, before backing down, but held above 120 for 25 minutes. On this run I covered 105 miles in 65 minutes. The first 10 minutes were run at 60 MPH.

Luckily I survived driving like an idiot and slowed down when kids came into my life.

Over 90 mph in my old Audi Fox in high school (speedo stopped at 90) North bound on US 27
Over 100 mph in my Hyundai Excel GS back in 1990. (a buddy of mine was driving...I was praying) East bound on I-74 near Greensburg Indiana
About 120 in my Bro-in-Law's 67 GTO (he was driving of course and it didn't feel a bit over 90 mph) on St rt 129 outside of Scipio Ohio.

My record is .9 Mach while in the back seat of an F-16 over the skys of New Mexico. (thank you Capt Chuck Bronson)

Pushing 90 a few years ago in a Ford Explorer on a freeway just outside Chicago. I'm not too big on speed.

Here ih Ohio I'd say the average pace of traffic on a freeway is 5-10mph over the speed limit. In Illinois it's 10-15mph over easily. When I was pushing 90 I didn't even realize it because I was just keeping pace with the rest of traffic. The speed limit was 65mph.

I've been in a car going about 105mph before. I was also once in a car doing 90mph in a 35mph zone. Probably the most over the limit for a vehicle I was in.

Just over 100 in a new VW bug back in 2001 on I75 in Toledo at like 2 in the morning on a perfect summer night.

    fastest I know of:

    102 in a 99 dodge caravan

The 91 ford aerostar we used to have only went up to 85 on the speedometer. There was a time or two that I had the needle well past that, but I'll never know for sure how fast I was going

I went 35 mph on a Hobie flex slalom skateboard down the hill at Burr Oak State Park Lake.

I've gone 195 km/h on the autobahn in a Mercedes A class. (about the same as a Honda Civic) I was trying for 200 but I had to move over because someone was coming up behind me.

I also used to drive 120 on a long country road on the way to my girlfriends house. It was 10 miles long and really boring, so that made the trip a little quicker.
