TNA to move to Mondays starting March 8th

and it will be an epic fail

they are going to do a live show every two weeks and tape the shows the other weeks. That is what hurts Smackdown's ratings, its because its taped. People read the results and then have no interest in watching the show. With Wrestlemania coming up, WWE is always on its game during this time.

Yea...they should have waited until the summer to do this. WWE will blow them out of the water with Wrestlemania coming up.

I like this though. TNA's ratings were horrible anway. I guarantee they get better ratings because of this, just not as good as Raw. They'll definitely get some people flipping back and forth.

Not sure what they'll accomplish with all the aging WCW geezers but whatever

This. It's one thing to have an aging legend or two on your roster, it's quite another to have a bunch of guys in their 50's as your headliners. I really wish TNA would have come about year after the WCW was acquired by the WWE. Unfortunately, time has passed by Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Sting, Mick Foley, Scott Steiner, Ric Flair, Booker T, Jeff Jarrett, The Dudleys, The Nasty Boys, and Hulk Hogan. What's next, is Savage or Jim Helwig joining TNA? Maybe they ought to check and see if The Italian Stalion, Mike Rotundo and Barry Windham are available. Vince McMahon has to be laughing his arse off.

TNA is Jeff Jarrett's little wrestling club for himself and all of his over the hill friends to continue to wrestle when the WWE declares that they are too old to compete. Joining them (but not getting pushes) are a small group of young talent that are either WWE rejects (like Kendrick and Tomko) or were never good enough to be in WWE (like Consequences Creed and Abyss). Outside of that, there are 2 wrestlers who would be viable options in WWE right now (Angle and Styles, and also somewhat Hardy but he's a junkie). Hell look at Christian.....he was TNA's top guy and now he's in ECW mostly. Enough said

Will be gone within a year.

There is no way they can go 9-11 with Vince

Bischoff tried this once and it destroyed one company, it will do it again.

I believe Bischoff went from 7:58-11.

I will watch TNA for the X Division, nothing else.

TNA has some guys that WWE dropped the ball on with Kennedy (Anderson), Burke, and a couple others whom Vince could easily hire back at some point in time. However, they focus too much of the show on old WCW guys and guys who have no business wrestling anymore. They will get decimated on Monday nights, especially right now with WWE gearing up for Wrestlemania.

Kennedy is always hurt and Burke is nothing special. I think Shelton Benjamin is way more talented.

In order for TNA to succeed, it will have to offer something the WWE does not. Being an older version of the WWE or the WWE-lite will not get it done. Back in the 80's and 90's, the NWA/WCW and organizations such as the Mid-South/UWF and World Class Championship Wrestling out of Texas competed very well against the WWF/WWE. What the offered was a no nonsense style of wrestling that appealed to a different audience. Namely, people in the southern part of the US and people who enjoyed watching more of a technical style of professional wrestling.

If TNA were to go back to the past (not by using the stars of that era) with young talent, I think they can find a niche. Here are some things they need to do:

    1. Get rid of the stupid ring. Go back to a traditional ring.
    2. Get out of having a production that looks just like the WWE. The TNA Impact Zone just looks like a generic version of WWE programming. Do something different- set up camp at an outdoor arena. If it looks different than the WWE, it will peek interest.
    3. There is young talent out there to be found. Ther are small organizations throughout the country. Recruit kids from wrestling strongholds such as the deep south, Florida and Texas.
    4. Also, look to pick up former college football players who do not make it to the professional ranks (that is what they used to do). Teach them how to become a professional wreslter.
    5. Get rid of the Divas. I am not saying no chicks, just no chicks wrestling. Sure we all like watching the eye candy, but I really could care less about watching Awesome Kong or whatever that fat lady's name is. GLOW failed for a reason. Chicks should be used as Valets and announcers.
    6. No one over 55 should be allowed to wrestle. Manger, yes, wrestlers no.
    7. Sort of related, many people have not succeeded in wrestling because they have no mic skills. Ths is nothing new, many people did not have mic skills in the past. Bring back the managers (no not the old ones). There are plenty of guys who just aren't big enough or talented enough to make it to the professional ranks but know the business and can talk with the best of them. Having the managers help with angles and they can use their mic skills to give their guy some heat. A manager is also a great place for the eye candy.
    8. Innovation. They are going to have to beat the WWE by crossing the line in areas they can't compete. ECW and the old Memphis territories used to have the craziest story lines, matches, stipulations, feuds, characters, etc. You want to know why--- because they could and they needed to keep up with the giant WWE.

Burke is the #1 contender for the TNA World Title.

He went over Kennedy last night to win the spot.

They do have a traditional ring in place, they have for a couple weeks.

With Hogan, Bischoff and Russo running the show, this is going to be a train wreck.

They have a star in the making in Nigel McGuinness (Desmond Wolfe) and all he has done for the majority of his time in TNA is job.

If Hogan doesnt push the talent they already had, it will be a real bear around that place.

And about the dumbest thing I have seen them do is turn AJ Styles into a Ric Flair clone.
  • darbypitcher22
Hogan won't push anybody but his cronies.
  • Eric Taylor
And that is why TNA will fall on their face.
  • End of Line
I would like to see Styles on Raw, having him turn into Flair is just stupid.
  • Eric Taylor
Styles has turned down at least 1 offer I know for sure in the past, so I doubt he would get another shot.
