Buried or cremated?
-
Swamp Foxhomefield said it very well. Cremation is a lot cheaper and less hassle for the family. I would like a nice memorial service but cremation is the best way to go. I also have some crazy ulterior motives behind my choice. I have the most incredible claustrophobia in the history of mankind and the idea of a casket absolutely creeps me out, in spite of all the perfectly logical arguments about "once you're dead you're dead."
Has anyone ever seen that picture that was taken of a dug up corpse who wasn't in fact, dead when he was buried? If you ever do, you will perhaps better understand why I want to go the cremation route. -
redrocketNeither, just roll me over the hill and leave me for fox feed.

darbypitcher22Bury Me.
Just make sure the worms can't get to me -
ernest_t_bassI would like to be cremated, but I chose buried.

StraightstealCremated! No viewing and no memorial service, unless my family insists. Just burn and spread! Skip the in between details. No one likes to go to the funeral home anyway.
-
j_crazyI want to be buried alive, then dug up and cremated.

Same here, I'll be enjoying myself too much to care about what happened to my old body.Con_Alma wrote: Doesn't really matter to me. It's about my family at that point ...not me. -

Where do you think they are going to take you? Out to eat at a nice restaurant or on vacation to Disney World? They are going to put you in a vase on a shelf somewhere and forget to clean the dust off the top forever.mtrulz wrote: Cremated. If I was buried, chances are that someone would shit/piss on my stone. I want my family to keep me and take me places. If I was buried, I couldn't go anywhere with them, just be left behind.
Buried for me in my family plot! -
FatHobbitI won't care. I'll be dead...

OUgradAnother cremation vote. I want to spare my family the expense of the funeral. Instead, spend the dough on a vacation to the west coast and spread my ashes over the Pacific. Then go and enjoy!
