Any Droid owners out there?
-
majorsparkJust purchased one today. Love it. Posting from it now. Still learning all the features.
-

-

mucalum49Proud owner since last Friday. I agree with the keyboard taking some time getting used too. What cool apps is everybody running?
So far I've got:
Photo Vault (makes you enter a password for those pics you don't want everyone to see)
10,001 Cocktails
Advanced Task Killer
Calorie Counter
Fox News Widget
Garfield (daily updated comic strip)
Newspapers (articles from daily newspapers in UK, Canada, and the US)
OpenTable (make reservations from your phone)
Reuters Widget
Save MMS (allows you to save those pics to put in Photo Vault )
Shazam (recognizes music on the radio)
Sports Tap
TV.com (watch CBS shows on your Droid)
Twidroid for Twitter users
Wapedia (Wiki app)
Weather Widget

wildcats20What are all your plans like with it? I am waiting for awhile to upgrade to either this or a BB.
-
mucalum49My plan is the same as it was on the Blackberry Curve: 450 minutes, unlimited data and text messaging. With insurance I just paid $110.17
-
Mooney44CardsI'm very disappointed in its lack of multi touch support in first party applications. Not that I'd own it, since I work for Sprint, but I am a phone lover.
-
RedRider1Are those apps that are named above available only on the droid? I bought the env touch a few months ago and it was billed as "app friendly" which I've found to be smoke and mirrors.
-
Crew Love
enV Touch owner here, as well. While I've definitely been disappointed in its lack of applications, I'm just glad that ESPN MVP was finally added several weeks ago.RedRider1 wrote: Are those apps that are named above available only on the droid? mucalum49As long as your phone runs the Android operating system you can access those. I am not sure what the env has
-
RedRider1Not that. LOL.
-
grodtI'm looking to upgrade to a Verizon phone here soon and I was really looking at the Droid. So far it seems like it has gotten very good reviews. What is the app selection like?
-
joe.hackettHave had the HTC Eris on Verizon for about a week. Love it.
-
sherm03I'm a Motorola Rep and have had the Droid since the middle of October. I love the phone, and couldn't be happier with the Android 2.0 software. The Google Navigation might be the best Nav system I've used on a phone ever...and while I am not 100% happy with the web browsing, I will be as soon as Adobe releases Flash Player 10 for Android 2.0. It'll be like browsing from your home computer on your phone.
As soon as they are available, get yourself the Multimedia Docking Station and the Car Dock. Both are really awesome accessories and a must have for any Droid owner.
If anyone has any questions on the phone...feel free to ask away. -
gport_tennisSherm I see you finally left the darkside and got a verizon phone...lol jk
Anyways the droid is the best phone I have ever had. The internet browser is very good. App Selection is good so far. Qwerty Keyboard does take some getting used to but the touchscreen keyboard is very nice. Battery Life is decent for what all it does. I like everything about this phone. -
sherm03gport,
I've got phones on every carrier now. I love this new job...and I love that I get phones weeks before they are even announced. It makes me feel important. LOL.
I agree with the App Selection...and it's just going to keep growing. Now that the Android OS isn't exclusive to T-Mobile customers...and Verizon and Sprint also have Android phones...the App selection is going to keep growing. -

LocoEngineer66Which one are you all talking about??????
DROID ERIS by HTC ... or ... DROID by Motorola
and which one is best?
or is the Blackberry Storm 2 the better phone? -
WebFireLove my Storm.
-
OneBuckeyeDroid by motorola is more powerful and runs a newer version of the OS. If you are a geek the Moto Droid is better if you are a chick and don't know the difference the HTC is probably better because it is smaller and it won't take up as much room in your purse. The Moto Droid will be better for GPS and map stuff than the HTC.

WebFireSo how much do you have to spend each month for the Droid? To have the data plans and such?
-
Mooney44CardsWatch yourself Verizon customers.....they just upped their early termination fee on "'high end devices" to $350. If you signed your contract before yesterday you're safe though.
