Another Major Winter Storm Next Week
-
LJThis is about the time of the year when I start to get sick of winter. I want winter to last Nov- Mid Jan. After that it can just be cold and have snow on the ground until early-mid Feb.
-
Swamp FoxI don't mind snow if the conditions are right for it. First, it must be a regularly scheduled school day. My snowblower must already have been started, gassed, and oiled for the onslaught. I must have ample coffee and chocolate packets to make a great morning drink as I watch the wind drift the snow on our street. It is better if the storm doesn't start early enough to delay my morning paper so that I have something to carefully peruse, such as the previous night's sports scores. Although I can usually tell whether we will be at least delayed by simply looking out the window, the TV crawler is carefully watched for the name of my school and the words "2 hour delay" attached to it. then the computerized call is a wonderful assurance that the cancellation can't be too far behind. if all of these factors are present, I am one happy camper. I often tell my students that the teachers root harder for delays and cancellations than the kids do. I do it with good humor and proper emphasis however, so the kids won't really believe that I am dead serious.

BRFSwampFox: Classic post, imo!

HereticDang, looks like either tomorrow or early Tuesday, I'll be buying another 1.75L bottle of rum and 8-10 two-liters. Winter storms are cool when you're either drunk or passed out all the time!

Jesus has nothing to do with anything... I was posting some frustration about the fact that the weather will severly impact our practice schedule for the forseeable futurebeliever wrote:
Not sure what Jesus has to do with your snow situation but 5 to 8 inches is nothing.darbypitcher22 wrote: Jesus christ.... 5-8" already on the ground here with more to follow? looks like the next time we're going outside to practice is when we get off the bus in Vero in 3 weeks
I just carved my way out of 16 inches of the white stuff here in State College. Accuweather (based here in State College by the way) is giving early forecasts of another 6 inches on Wednesday. -

Well since Jesus is God and God created all this, he would have the power to do something about it. If your frustrated and would like things to change Jesus would be the one to talk to.darbypitcher22 wrote:

LJLooks like Columbus is 4-8 by that map.
4" over 2 1/2 days wouldn't be terrible. -

Heretic
Yes he is. Now ask the nice Jesus to make it not snow. As long as you're older than mtrulz he probably won't molest you.DeyDurkie5 wrote:

GoPensWinter Storm Watches just went up for Eastern Ohio. 6+ inches predicted.
-
Lovejoy1984Was just getting on to post that.
Should be another doozie. -
friendfromlowryHaven't found any projections for Dayton or southwest Ohio yet. Wonder if western Ohio is going to get sparred? The watches/warnings are usually out within 8 hours, but I haven't found anything yet. Most local news just predicts the snow, but doesn't mention any specifics.
