Interesting story. I guess you should make sure the paperwork is reeeally squared away before you move kids across borders. -
Fab1bGood I have been paying attention to this, it was fishy from the get go. No papers and some of the kids are saying their parents are fine and did not die in the quake. I think this group went down there to get kids for their cult out in Idaho!

THE4RINGZMy wife and I have two adopted girls from Korea. The paperwork to get a kid out of a country where they are orphans is unbelieveable. It would be easier to get into an underground nuclear missle silo than to get a kid into the U.S. without the correct paperwork. And these people had to know that. So it also makes me a little suspicious about their motives.
-
Fab1bI am telling you, I do believe when this is all over they will be discovered as some sort of religous cult getting "new young" members to take back!
-
krambmanThree of these people live in the town my parent's live in and my mom works with the sister of one of them. Scary stuff for those involved.
-
j_crazyonly thing i can say is it just doesn't "feel" right. something about these people is irking me and i can't put my finger on why.

Any insight, does your mom say they are a cult out there?krambman wrote: Three of these people live in the town my parent's live in and my mom works with the sister of one of them. Scary stuff for those involved. -

Swamp FoxWhat if all this tension was caused by a bureaucratic snafu and the intentions of this group were totally honorable? The more I see in the news, the more suspicious I'm becoming. It would certainly be much better for the US if we weren't trying to sneak kids out of Haiti for illicit purposes. The public image would certainly collapse after all the good work that our volunteers and government assistance and rescue and recovery efforts have provided. Let's hope that this group honestly didn't know that there were actual parents involved, and the kids didn't need to be shipped out, and new parents didn't really need to be found for them. We can at least hope, can't we?
