I used to not like BJ Penn either but the last year or two he has grown on me especially since he started taking his cardio seriously! His skills are undeniable! In MMA I agree with Frank Mir!
I'll see your Frank Mir, and raise you a Nate Diaz.
Also Fab I think I saw you posted Mesa...I'm still very bitter with Tony Fernandez and his error in game 7. Pick your poison with those 2.
Diaz, both of them, are pricks!! You are correct about Fernandez!

I find that to be an odd reason to wish someone to be paralyzed.

Not that there's ever a GOOD reason.

regarding BJ-regardless of how serious he's taking his cardio...the shit that comes out of his mouth makes me hate him.

"george is a quitter, he quit, i'm ready to fight to the death, yada yada" the guy is a dumbass. licking the blood off his gloves after sherk, etc. I honestly think he's not a very smart individual and he's a loudmouth prick. That's just my honest opinion. can't stand the guy but damn he's good. just can't take him as a person.

In Hogan's defense, I remember reading somewhere that he was (for his size) a decent technical wrestler who could chain moves together (I think it was a Scott Keith column, where he was reviewing a Coliseum video where Hulk was "training" Hillbilly Jim and busting out stuff he NEVER did in the ring with proficiency), but for whatever reason, instead of letting him do that regularly, for the most part while he was in his prime, he'd just get put against really big guys for brawl-type matches where he'd take a lot of punishment, but then make the superman comeback for the win.

I don't know how I could have forgotten that smug arrogant idiot Bill Maher.

Tila Tequila - Every time I hear this martian open her mouth I want to choke a kitten.
Kobe Bryant - The talent/ability is undeniable, I've just never been a fan.
Any on air/radio political analyst - They are all so ridiculously one-sided they have become completely blind to good logic and logical thought.
Paris Hilton - Never knew a giant walking Herpe could become this famous.
Heidi and Spencer - What an arrogant/ratarded couple. I get what I refer to as a "Tila Tequila" reaction whenever one of them speaks.
Brock Lesnar - Tremendously phsyically gifted fighter, but also a complete douche. See fight 2 w/ Frank Mir for proof.

On the other hand, I'm a BJ Penn fan. I don't mind fighters talking smack about their opponent. It makes the fights more interesting. If Jim Tressel was matched up against Bill Belichick in an MMA fight (and both happened to be UFC calibre fighters) nobody would care because it would be such boring build up to a fight. Guys like BJ who talk smack make fights more interesting.

I am just curious how Bj Penn builds the fight but you hate on Lesnar for doing the same. Lesnar is playing the heel because that sells PPV's and he knows this. Playing the heel is the best way to be, half the people hate you and tune in to watch you lose and half the people love you because you act like you don't give a rats ass about anything.

Penn is awesome and one of my favorite fighters, I just think he and Lesnar get it when it comes to selling a fight or image.

I've never seen BJ stand in the middle of the ring and flip the bird to the crowd of people that pay his salaries. I've never seen BJ bad mouth the UFC's sponsors because "Bud Light won't pay me enough." I don't mind Brock's trash talking to his opponent. It was his antics after his second fight with Mir that rubbed me the wrong way. I don't mind any fighter talking smack before a fight.

That makes sense. Although Licking blood off your gloves from your opponent is a little crazy haha. Funny and bad ass but crazy.

BJ is crazy no doubt, but I think that adds to who he is.
