What's Worse?

  • ernest_t_bass
This thread is meaningless, but I just have a serious inquiry.

What is worse, bumping a 30 day old thread, or starting a new thread about the same topic that was resolved of its own volition 30 days ago?

    Bumping old threads

Threads can get lost in the mix, so if it is a good topic a bump is in order.

Starting a new thread about something that has been discussed and simply flamed out, not so good.

I am going with the bump as a better option.

I had to open it to see what it was about (title kinda vague, by design), so I figured I might as well contribute.

I'd rather see threads get bumped than repetitive threads.

Starting a new topic is much worse.

At least in the case of bumping old threads, it can be because of new information being available, or something new needing to be said, or what have you.

Agree, most of the new thread is info already covered in the old thread.

Not that it's redundant or something we have heard before when someone else has posted the same thing or repetitious or something that has been repeated or said again, but this thread is like deja vu all over again.
