  • MANAZE
NO NO NO NO HBK IS GONE!
  • MANAZE
this is f'n bs! no one cares about seeing Cena win another title, edge is a pos, and batista is nothing but a roid freak.
  • osu45804
HBK taking out the officials now
  • osu45804
Cena eliminates Batista ...... Edge WINS
  • Lovejoy1984
Excellent. Glad that Edge won. :)
  • bLuE_71
    Yes!
  • MANAZE
thats great. let edge win so he can draw 10% of the money cena or hbk could have.

I've never seen someone take wrestling so serious.

    Is this you?

I had a hard time trying to find a stream towards the end. Cool to see Edge come back and win it. (Cena did the same thing in 2008 I believe)
  • Red_dragons
he takes the boards title literally....serious bizness...

I don't believe this to be true. HBK doesn't need to be in the title hunt to be a drawing card, so that is a non-issue. Probably the same can be said for Cena. Edge has been the best heel in the business by far for the last few years and overall, he's proven to be the most versatile character on the roster.
  • MANAZE
Edge? nothing but an HBK wanna be. CM Punk made a better champion than him. Plus Orton is by far a better heel than Edge could ever dream. Edge just trys to push the limit like the night him and lita "had sex" on raw live. that isn't wrestling. if they let him come back to be the "r" rated superstar I hope he reinjures himself.

Good comparison. He is like HBK in that he can be the most dastardly heel one minute and have people cheering him the next moment. Punk had a little indy fan cult following that didn't go far and nobody cares about him now. Orton is a dry character. They have handed him heel heat on a silver platter and he can't sustain it. He benefits from being the golden boy who gets all the easy heat and best opponents. Edge generates his own heat and can make anyone a fan favorite.

Cena, HBK, HHH, Taker are guys who do not need to be World Champion. They are so damn popular and will be forever so they don't have to have the belt.

Manaze - quit whining about HBK. He is still going to fight Taker again or they wouldn't waste all this time on it. Taker will lose the belt however at Elimination Chamber and then they can fight again. HBK probably will never get another title run. CM Punk was not a better champ than Edge because no one gave a damn when Punk was champ which is why they had him attacked backstage the first time he lost the title and he never made it to the ring. Edge and Orton have been far and away the 2 best heels in the company for about 2 years now and obviously you don't watch much wrestling since they don't "push the limits" anymore since they are rated PG.

Not surprised at all by the undercard matches whatsoever. Taker was a given, would have killed Sheamus to lose, Christian can hang to that belt for a tad longer, and Mickie was just about a shoe it. Edge coming back made it worthwhile. Punk in the beginning was awesome as I got a big kick out of that, plus he hit Beth Phoenix with the GTS, which looked pretty good.

I give the overall PPV rating a 6/10

How do you guys think the Elimination Chamber PPV, and even Wrestlemania are stacking up? Who will Edge challenge? What about Michaels, Undertaker, HHH, Cena, Orton and Batista opponents for WM26?
  • enigmaax
I can't remember which show Edge was on last - wasn't it Smackdown? I don't predict well, but here are my initial thoughts:

Undertaker loses his title before WM and Edge challenges that person (Batista?).
Michaels then ends up getting his shot at Undertaker.
There will be some combination of HHH-Cena-Sheamus and I get the feeling Cena leaves WM as champ.
    Orton wrestles DiBiase.

My guess as of now would be:

    HBK-Taker II
Edge vs. Jericho after Jericho wins the World Title at EC
    Sheamus vs HHH
    Randy Orton vs Ted Dibiase
    Batista vs. John Cena
    Rey Mysterio vs CM Punk
Throw in Kofi, Miz, MVP, Morrison, Bourne, McIntyre in Money in the Bank plus a couple others

After the show last night, I did see the promo on TV for Elimination Chamber that said the Smackdown Chamber match would determine the #1 contender for the World Title at Wrestlemania.

If they stay with that formula, I would say the World Title match at Elimination Chamber will be Batista and Undertaker.

I think they are going in te direction of a HHH-HBK match at Wrestlemania with Shawn being the heel which is what he does best.

I was excited to see Edge back. He probably is my favorite heel right now, right up there with Jericho.

They've been teasing another split obviously. I remember a god awful number of matches between the two, but I don't remember if any of them were at WM? While I like them both, I don't think they can do anything better than they've already done (the last run ended up getting pretty stale) and I really don't care to see them recycle it yet again.

Also, I don't know why they'd put so much into trying to sell a match that will never happen if in fact they have no plans of HBK-Undertaker at WM. And as for that match, I suppose the lure is that people may think HBK's ego is too big for him to agree to job two straight matches to Undertake, meaning the streak could be in jeopardy. Otherwise, just about any Undertaker match would be worthless because you know that streak is not ending (at least not to any old joe schmo).

Hart vs McMahon at WM26 (sarcasm)
  • bigdaddy2003
Rey Mysterio has run his course. Having him fight the big guys is just getting old. I cant believe they even go as far as to do the whole underdog who is against all odds deal with him. He needs to be fighting people like Evan Bourne and the Hurricane.

I'm also glad Edge won the Rumble.
  • KnightXC1
^^ That probably will happen, will be a street fight.

Not sure how they will do the EC matches this year but it will be one of two ways. Either both titles will be on the line in seperate chamber matches (they should do this imo) or one will be for a title and one will be for the other number 1 contender spot at Mania (Edge has the other locked up).
