interstate 80 closed eastbound
-
redfalcon.....In wyoming. I know this, because for the last two hours, I have been sitting in front of the sign that says "interstater 80 closed due to wrecks.". Son of a bitch. I may spend the night on this stretch of pavement.
Okay, so did I post this because...
A: I wanted to complain about being stuck on the interstate.
B: To finally be able to say bitch in a post without worry of an overzealous mod on a power trip.
C: So I could start my first thread on free huddle.
D: because I'm stuck behind snowgates and have nothing else to do.
E: all of the above. -
GoChiefsBeen there plenty of times! It sucks! Good luck! Just take a nap!

tk421I'll take E for $400, Alex. Wow, that sucks. I don't think I could handle living in Wyoming.

Glory DaysI actually visited there once. pretty nice place. although there is a lot of open space. so if i you like living in big cities, definitely not for you.

SykotykI've been there many times. Last year I-80 between Rawlins and Cheyenne (140+ miles) was closed for three days due to a 10+ vehicle pileup near Elk Mountain. This, after the road was closed the night before. I sat in Laramie and got out the moment they opened the road. Was the last one through to Rawlins before the closed it again after the accident. Nice traffic-free drive all the way to Salt Lake City, though.

El Jefe GrandeI-80 is a bottleneck where I live.
-
TrajanLaramie's a nice town, Cheyenne not so much.

Sykotykredfalcon, if you're stopped in traffic, you've probably got MILES of traffic backed up that will be going very slow to start. And once it does get moving, you've got morons who'll drive too fast for the conditions, cause another accident, and you'll be stopped again.
Wyoming at night in the winter is always trouble. Freezing temps, blowing snow, etc.
Drive safe.
