Any web developer/programmers out there?

  • Drums of War
Glad I found this thread. My company is looking to re-design our website. If anyone would like to make some $$ on the side, please send me a message and we can talk. Include a couple of links to things you have done in the message please.

Justin, Send a PM to Wags6817... I think he can solve a TON of your problems...

My son's HS wrestling team needs a website. I don't know how to start one, but if properly instructed, I'm willing to maintain it. Anyone here willing to help me get our website started and teach me how to add content and photos, etc.? I can't tell you how much I would appreciate some help.

Know a decent amount of HTML, CSS, Java Script, XML, and the like, and am involved with various metadata initiatives in the library/information science world. Would be willing to help or just contribute to the discussion.

Sorry guys, I have been busy elsewhere so I haven't had time to add some of you to the "developer" role so you can access the developer forum. I will be getting around to that soon.

I know FORTRAN, VBA, some C++, MathCAD, MAPLE, and very little HTML.

I can write any nifty program using VBA in Excel you want, but when it comes to web design, I'm not your man...but knowing the basics of coding in half a dozen languages I might be some help in bouncing ideas off.

I feel like I've stumbled onto an Internet marketing goldmine! With programmers and web designers here, a lot could be done in terms of making a nice chunk of change on teh interwebz.

    I can help with advertising.

COBOL? I'm guessing if he knows Fortran, MathCAD, and MAPLE, he's too old for COBOL.

He's not old, hes just an engineer. I know Fortran and MathCAD too and I'm 27.

Oh shit. I meant COBOL. Or maybe I wondered if he built cars.

I know the basics of COBOL, but it's been many years since I even looked at it. If you know the basics of programming though, you can do it in any language, just takes some time to learn the syntax and what not.

If I had the time, I so would love to help but I'm about to start school.

Not old, I'm 30. Just like Zwick said, an engineer. FORTRAN is still one of the best base language for straight looping calcs that us engineers and mathmeticians love.

You want to solve a complex partial differential equation, your best bet to not crash your computer, is to use FORTRAN and then output the data to some graphics program.
