    "Grant Desme, a 23-year-old minor league outfielder in Oakland's system, is retiring from baseball to follow a calling into the Catholic priesthood."

    He hit .288 with 31 home runs and 89 RBIs in A ball in 2009 and was just named MVP of the Arizona Fall League.

    haha, interesting story, that's for sure. But, if it's something that he felt was more fulfilling to his spiritual and personal life, good for him.

    That's what I thought. . . I would like to believe my spiritual strength is strong. . . but this makes me realize I'm just a heathen like the rest. hahaha

    Good for that guy. It must truly be his calling. because you know he is walking away from a decent amount of future earnings in MLB.
