Just watched this over the weekend. A great, GREAT movie. I like the ending, and how he had the chance for redemption, for the sake of the others. A great movie.

So I have a friend who told me today they won't watch Gran Torino ever again because of the racial bigotry. Wow give me a break. It's a movie.

(Should have stopped by Grandpa Clint's house once in a while)
This girl reminded me of a girl that we know. Her grandmother (in her 70's) wanted to retire but the granddaughter wouldn't let her (guilted her into staying employed) by saying "but grandma, if you retire you won't be able to take me shopping or send me my weekly $20 allowance."

This same girl also threw a fit when she found out her grandparents weren't leaving their home to her in the will. BTW...this girl is 20 years old (yeah, still gets an allowance) and a whore (had to throw that in there).

    Really liked this movie.

I loved the movie. Wish there was an alternative ending where he blasts those gang bangers for those of us who want to see another type of redemption.

Dude, I don't even know if Tiger or Jesse James would partake of this. It's a LONG, drawn out story but this chick is ruthless AND easy.

    I must be honest

This was my first Clint Eastwood movie I ever watched, and I LOVED it.

It's funny how people get offended about the the racist stuff in the movie. Being a man of color, I didn't really care.

Actually one of the funniest lines was "Are these spooks bothering you?"
Maybe because I've never heard someone referred to as a spook.

I loved the racism in the movie. Not because it was racist but because it made the dialogue seem more "real", if you will.

Also the barber shop scenes were wonderful.

i liked the idea of the movie and the plot, but i couldn't get past the horrendous acting
