Eric Clapton would prolly get my vote as the best Blues guitarist
    Eddie Van Halen
  • ernest_t_bass
    Jimmy Page, FTW
  • ernest_t_bass
Yay, I was the first to vote. PAGE.
  • 2quik4u
    same with Jeff Beck
  • ernest_t_bass
You also have to realize that he is only 15. I'm surprised he didn't put Miley Cyrus' lead guitarist on there.

david gilmour = g.o.a.t. guitar solo = g.o.a.t. guitar player
  • I drain 3's
    Brian Carroll, aka Buckethead
  • Speedofsand
That is subjective to opinion. There are many greats that have different styles. Jeff Beck, Eddie Van Halen, Slash, Joe Satriani, and David Gilmour would all answer this question with Les Paul

wait til the fast part here

    Les Paul Chasing Sound

    Eddie Van Halen 1988

    David Gilmour 1988
  • David St. Hubbins
    Brian Carroll, aka Buckethead
    This

I voted for Angus just because I like his style of playing. Going by pure talent Buckethead definitely blows them all out of the water, but out of the choices listed probably Eddie is the best.

    What about Mark Knopfler?

On a side note, connecting music to HS basketball. Did you see that Bruce Hornsby's son is a starting guard at Oak Hill Academy? Keith Hornsby

Carlos Santana is pretty good as well
  • UA5straightin2008
Definitely Tom Morello from Rage against the machine...he is soooo sick
  • Laley23
I realize its only a ten person poll, but how are Carlos Santana and Eric Clapton left off.

My vote would go to Clapton. But I love his music as a whole so much that I am slightly biased.
  • End of Line
    Eddie Van Halen
  • Tinkertrain
Some other names you left off.

    Duane Allman
    Brian Jones
    Stevie Ray Vaughn
    Tony Iommi
    Yngwie Malmstien
