I'm watching. I missed the very beginning, unfortunately.

Mo'Nique's acceptance speech was great though.

Glad Dexter (Michael C Hall) won.

    Two highlights I saw....

    1) Mike Tyson was with the crew of the Hangover accepting the award they won. A pretty funny visual.

    2) At one point Ricky Gervais came out with a drink in his hand saying how he apologized for offending anyone with his jokes because he had been drinking. He then proceeded to say he likes a good drink as much as the next guy unless that guy is this next presenter....and out walks Mel Gibson. Pretty good jab.

Tyson also came up with the guys to introduce the clip of the movie. Pretty funny.

Globes are always a good show because it moves fast. They give out a lot of awards in 3 hours.

I was very surprised to see The Hangover win but I think it was well deserved as its competition was weak.

As much as I enjoyed The Hangover, I personally wished 500 Days of Summer won.

I'm a huge fan of The Office, including the British version, but 30 Rock is probably a better overall show. Especially since The Office had really dropped off the past couple years.

Either way, the fact that It's Always Sunny wasn't even nominated shows the Golden Globes are a joke.

I'm glad more Americans have been turned on to Gervais though. Probably one of my favorite comedians out right now. Everything he does is hilarious.

^^^If baldwin wasn't on that show i'd watch it.

I've never found 30 Rock to be good, just can't get into it.
  • noreply66
this should run from march to march---seems like some of these show just came out
  • BigAppleBuckeye
30 Rock is HILARIOUS, however I notice that a lot of its jokes are very much inside-jokes that only NYC residents would get, so I understand why viewers from the 49 states wouldn't get its appeal. Not that we are smarter, just jokes relating to the day-to-day New Yorker.

That might be true about Baldwin, but Carrell is NOT funny AT ALL.

I feel the same way about the Office. Never liked it from day 1. Never seen 30 Rock.

I really LOL'd when Gervais said something to Sir Paul about him spending a lot of money in the past year or something like that. That didn't go over too well with the crowd, but I thought it was ballsy for him to say.
