Ping I15 = GOAT driver
-
ZWICK 4 PREZIf you play a draw, this is the best driver ever made. The flight was a little higher than I was used to, but was consistently 10-15 yards further than my G5. I prolly won't even swap out shafts and just stick with the stock TFC 700d shaft.
I can't wait for a warmer day to hit some more outside and get a more accurate distance.
The G15 def has a hotter feel off the face but was a very inconsistent ball flight with a draw.
Hands down the best driver I've hit to date. -
I Wear PantsI still like the way my Big Bertha II plays. Plus it doesn't look stupid like most of today's drivers. The iI5 looks good though, maybe when I win the lottery.
-
darbypitcher22I don't play a draw. I play a power fade.
From what I've seen and heard it looks like a good club though. -
ZWICK 4 PREZ
No shame in that. I'm unfortunately not good enough to use old equipment and compete with the big dogs.I Wear Pants wrote: I still like the way my Big Bertha II plays. Plus it doesn't look stupid like most of today's drivers. The iI5 looks good though, maybe when I win the lottery. -
gerb131Hit some different clubs last week under the bubble in Cols. Not sure if that was one of them but I did hit a set of Ping Irons on demo up there and I hit them well. Its a little strange in the bubble, makes an odd sound but it was worth swinging the clubs a few times.
-
lhslep134I'm sticking with my new Dymo. I already hit it 10 yards further than my Sasquatch, and I doubt switching to the I15 will add even more distance. Not to mention I don't like using Pings.

ZWICK 4 PREZI'd use a Nike but I'd hate to have to wear ear plugs when I golf.
-
raiderbuck^^no kidding, they sound like you're hitting at the batting cages.
I hit the TM Burner, gives me distance, ball flight is wicked high though (9.5 degree). Probably a lot more to do with my swing than the driver. :/ -
I Wear PantsI can't wait for it to thaw out so I can play again. Last summer I made some good progress in my game.
-
Thunder70I play a banana hook...the equipment is the least of my problems...

OneBuckeyeI normally have a slight fade in my drive or I hit it dead straight, however last year I lost all control and it turned into a mild slice. I used my trusty 4 wood on the tee for the rest of the year and hit it straight 215-230. I have a cleveland launcher 400 and need to pick something up. I tried the burner last year and it went straight for me when I hit it into the screen. I also tried some cobras that seemed to do well for me to. I have had my launcher for 3 seasons and each season I have hit it worse, I am only hitting it 220-250 depending, usually I am around 230.
So after all that i have a question, what will one of these "draw" drivers do for me?
Edit: Also I think it may have to do something with the kickpoint on my driver's shaft. I have a quick swing and my 4 wood, it is like 14 degrees has a stiff steel dynamic gold shaft. My driver has whatever stiff alida or fuji gold shaft it came with. Not sure if reshafting my driver with a steel shaft would help. -

Looks like the I15 is the editors choice at golf digest for drivers this year. It must be the GOAT. -
Hamp89This thread has gotten me anxious, this winter can't end soon enough!
I picked up a Titleist 909 D2 late last season. The best distance and best sound of any driver I've hit. Would recommend it to anyone. -

NateI wish I could golf well. Unfortunately, I suck. I refuse to pay for lessons. All I know is my stuff starts out straight but ends up going way right.
