Google Chrome

GoChiefsAnyone use this? Currently using Firefox..heard Chrome was faster. What's the advantages of this browser over Firefox or IE?
-
dlazzChrome is faster...but also less compatible. And it doesn't have AdBlockPlus, which is an absolute buzzkill for me.
-
justincredibleI've been using Chrome almost exclusively for the past month or so. I tried it once a while ago and didn't like it but decided to give it another shot.
-
cbus4lifeStarting to gradually use Chrome more than Firefox. Lots of other folks who are much more savy tech people than I are also doing the same.
-
McFly1955I switched to Chrome about 5-6 months ago on my laptop and desktop, I love it. I run Opera on my netbook because it just seems to work the best on it (I've tried IE, Firefox, Chrome, and Opera on the netbook).
-
GoChiefsOk..but what makes Chrome so much better than Firefox?
-
justincredible

gorocks99Yeah, I dunno if it's actually faster but it feels less clunky. It is somewhat of a memory hog but it gets the job done.
-
justincredibleDon't get me wrong, I love the extensibility of Firefox. It's just absurd how much faster Chrome runs on my work machine.
-
GoChiefsFirefox runs pretty fast on mine. Don't really have a speed issue. Are the downloads any quicker with Chrome? Or does your browser not make a difference when it comes to that?
-
gorocks99I would say, download Chrome and try. Kinda tough to quantify, but I think it's faster for downloads. I use it at home and work now after switching from Firefox and love it.
-
derek bomarChrome FTW
-
GoChiefsI am gonna download it when I get home..I was just wanting to get some input on it before hand. Just seeing if anybody has had any issues with it before I do.
-
gorocks99The biggest issue is site compatibility - some sites won't display properly. Overall though no big problems.

WebFire
I have very few problems with this.gorocks99 wrote: The biggest issue is site compatibility - some sites won't display properly. Overall though no big problems. -
gorocks99Right, there aren't a ton of issues. Just occasionally you'll run into things that require Firefox or IE (I know ESPN360 used to be like this)
-
j_crazySafari is my browser of choice. I've heard good things about chrome, but I fear change and don't want to make the next step. My work PC has IE 6, I'd relish any change they made there.
-
bcubedI just started trying Chrome this week after reading a TIME magazine article about it. The article says it is faster and safer. I do have to agree it is faster most of the time and as of yet I have not had any unwanted pop-ups or malware. I do like the easy of use and less clutter!
-
I Wear PantsChrome isn't safer and it's privacy policy is less than impressive.
It's fast but doesn't have the features I need in a browser. -
dlazzIt looks like the newest Chrome has extensions. I'm running it right now on my netbook and its running fairly slow.
Firefox seems to run better. I know for a fact Chrome is quicker on my desktop. -
Glory DaysIE for life!
-
I Wear PantsChrome can have a chance as my browser when it grows up a bit.
-
hoops23I like Chrome, but I keep going back to Safari...
-
CinciX12I have both IE and Chrome on my laptop.
I have been using IE lately but Chrome is definitely a good browser. -

Is there a reason that you use IE?CinciX12 wrote: I have both IE and Chrome on my laptop.
