True. I think that my buddy works with electronic controls, electronic engineering. Building the computer parts, brain power, etc., that helps control large machinery.

    That help?

Well typically in the US, Electronic Engineering is an Associate degree path or a Baccalaureate Technology path, in which case he wouldn't be qualified. If he were an Electrical Engineer, which encompasses electronic and power engineering, he would be qualified due to the necessity of both programming and distribution aspects of the job.

    Clear as mud?

At least it isn't Char-lotte that place is not cool. Do you what ever you want to do. A change of scenery can do some good or it could do some bad just depends on how you roll with it. Good luck on your decision.

I've never spent an extensive amount of time in Charlotte, but I thought it was a pretty decent city. I'd still love to retire to Lake Norman one day.

The company being small, private, unstable or whatever would be a huge factor. Always find out as much info as you can. The last company I worked for (private) , the bosses acted like everything was govt. top secret. It was ridiculous they gave more access to vendors than full time employees. They are losing millions every year, and no sign of turning around in sight. It sucks for everyone but the owners, they are almost billionaires and don't care. It was great when the founder was alive, but since he passed, and then the son got ill and retired and then passed away, the younger ones are ruining everything he built for 50 years. Pretty easy to guess who I worked for ?
