Wendy's NEW Spicy Chicken Nuggets
-
Crew LoveWendy's, the fast food king (or should it be queen?) of all chicken nuggets has rather quietly debuted a new item on their menu - Spicy Chicken Nuggets (5 piece for 99 cents).
Personally, I haven't seen any sort of advertising - not television nor print - for these, and in fact, wasn't even aware they existed until driving by one of our local Wendy's a few nights ago and seeing a window cling introducing them. As a big fan of both Wendy's original nuggets and their Spicy Chicken Sandwich, I was quite anxious to give these a shot and was a little surprised these hadn't been thought of previously.
I just picked up a couple orders on my way home from running a errands and they lived up not only to my expectations, but also probably taste exactly like you'd imagine. Think of mini-Wendy's Spicy Chicken Sandwich patties with your favorite choice of dipping sauce.
Has anyone else given these a shot yet...? -
Lovejoy1984Had some last night actually.
I'm not a big fan of Wendy's chicken nuggets, but really enjoyed these. My fiance who is a big fan of the regular nuggets, didn't care for these too much. We were there a little after midnight, so we aren't sure if it was just because it was so late, but I'm sure we'll try them again during the day to see how good they are.
On a side note, anyone notice Burger King is now selling Funnel Cake Sticks? -

Yeah, they've actually been advertising these quite a bit on TV and I gave them a shot about a week ago.HighRoller74 wrote: On a side note, anyone notice Burger King is now selling Funnel Cake Sticks?
Personally, I was a bit disappointed as they were more spongy/cake-like than I had anticipated and less like a fair or carnival funnel cake, both texture and taste-wise. -
Lovejoy1984I hadn't seen them advertised until Christmas night, and swung down the other day and they were all sold out.
I'm anxious to see what they are like. -
raiderbuckThis isn't the first time they served these nuggets. They did this earlier this year for a limited time. I was pretty ticked when they got rid of them, but now I'm happy they're back!

I pass a stretch of fast food restaurants every day on the way home and had never seen these before. Are you by chance in the Dublin or Columbus area? I'm guessing you may have been in a test market.raiderbuck wrote: This isn't the first time they served these nuggets. They did this earlier this year for a limited time.
