and I am loving the new Mac as my toshiba laptop took a dump on me! Will be replacing the home PC with a Mac as well in a month or two.

And yes that makes me better than you. Ha Ha Ha Ha :)

If you spent the amount of money on a PC equivalent to the price you paid for your MAC, you would have a computer that is top of the line in computing power. If you are not an idiot, you won't have any trouble with your super powered PC, but its "cool" to have a MAC, right?

Biggest marketing gimmick in history, MAC computers.

Nice! I bought my Macbook Pro a little over a year ago and will never go back to PC. I also get to buy whatever computer I want for my new job so I'll be buying a new Macbook Pro in a few weeks.

I have too much trouble with PC's over the past 5 yrs, both desk tops and lap tops. Macs are where it is at. I know they cost a serious bundle but I am of the thought you get what you pay for. I paid alot for this sure but I have a top of the line machine!

Cue sleeper calling you an idiot.

Serious question...what makes Mac's so much better than a PC? All of the commercials you see are Mac talking about all the things wrong with the PC, but don't really talk about what they offer that's so much better. Just curious.

For me its the ease of the operating system use and the consistency between updates also needs less rebooting. Also the security issues with PC's are not such with Mac's, even if you use little firewall protection on Macs. Not gonna be that way forever but right now it is something Mac users don't have many issues with. Multi touch technology on the mouse pad. In April the New York Times stated Apple tops PC Customer Service Rankings. I personally believe a mac will outlast a pc in both hardware and software. Also coupled with my Iphone its a sweet combo!

A much more stable, Unix based operating system. The OS also doesn't need to worry about supporting hardware from a million different companies which makes the machine more stable overall.

Apple has people thinking Macs are invincible, but they aren't. We deal with about the same amount of PC's as we do Macs at work.
  • justincredible
No machine is invincible, regardless of what name is slapped on it.

You'd swear they are the best damn things on the planet with how hard people brag about their new Macbooks.

I bought a Powerbook in April 2005 and I still use it. Never had a problem. If someone can still use a PC from almost five years old with no hassle, then you never really used it.

^^^Actually..I've had my PC for around 5 years as well. And I use mine all the time. With no hassle. I take that back..I did add a fan..so..if you consider that a hassle..then ok..you got me.

    lol?

This laptop I'm on is a dell and I've had it for 6 years. It probably runs better than a new MAC and you can take that to the bank.

I've never had anything but a PC, and last year a couple of my friends got Mac's. One is a guitarist and has recorded things on it and it is awesome. The other just uses it for everyday stuff with some video editing and it has been nothing but a headache. Everything she tried to do or use didn't work or wasn't compatible. I don't see the big deal about Mac's, I'd rather have a PC, but to each his own. Enjoy your Mac!

You never see Macs in a business atmosphere. Unless the business is web design or something artsy. Also, you can't right click, what the hell is that all about?
  • Fab1b
You sure can right click! Put two fingers at the same time on the touch pad an click!

Can you use non-MAC hardware or any application that a PC can use?
