If you feel like your phone lags a little bit, facebook is it because it's a memory whore. m.facebook.com is what I use until there is a facebook chat feature installed then it'll be worth the memory drain.me_myself_i wrote: Have a Storm

Hell I didn't get my first cell phone until I was 16. But a lot of the "older" BBs are pretty limited and can be set up as limited. So maybe it's daddys old one and is limited. *shrug* But I agree with your thinking.cbus4life wrote: I noticed a kid who looked like he was 12 last night with a blackberry. If you like your storm. Storm 1 = Storm 2 + good hardware upgrades. By that I mean, they doubled app memory, added wifi, instead of 1 click sensory thingy int he middle there are 4 on the corners of the screen so you can type better.karen lotz wrote: I have the Storm 1 for now
Facebook, Pandora, TFLN, weatherbug, google maps, greenfinder golf GPS.
Also, I am getting either the Tour or Storm 2 on Wednesday, any suggestions would be welcome.
My buddy has the Tour and his trackball has problems now and then but other than that he loves it. However, remember the Tour 2 is going to come out pretty soon. I wouldn't do it knowing this.
I'm pretty sure the Storm's are global phones. hmmmkrambman wrote: Yeah, unless you're planning on doing some international travel soon, go with the Storm 2. -
jordo212000You know how when you turn the Storm sideways, the menu comes up with the different 'things' like Browser, SMS, Messages, Contacts, etc.
Well last night my Browser button disappeared. Its nowhere to be found. How do I get it back? I took out the battery and put it back in and it didn't work.
I also downloaded the Facebook app. Is there anyway I can add it to my button choices (like Browser, Messages, Contacts). Because right now to get to it, I have to click on applications, then scroll up, and then click on it. Not really a major issue but it would be nice to skip all of that -
Hamp89Tour here, and like it a lot. Will probably pick up the Tour 2 when it comes out in a couple of months.

Are you talking about the icons on the "home" screen?? If you want to move facebook from the application folder to the home, select it, don't click it. then click blackberry button and select move folder, then select home. I'm not sure if this is what you are talking about, I'm just guessing.jordo212000 wrote: You know how when you turn the Storm sideways, the menu comes up with the different 'things' like Browser, SMS, Messages, Contacts, etc.

This was my first thought as well. But if you the browser is completely gone then connect to desktop manager and re-install.karen lotz wrote:

BRFCurve. Love it. Do a lot of posting on here from it.
Learned how to take out and clean the tracker ball if it gets "slow". -

Yes! Sweet. Thank you so much. I was wondering if/how you do thatkaren lotz wrote:

well. Its not completely gone. I can still access the Browser. I just have to jump through some hoops. But yes, the browser icon on the home screen is gone. Looks like I'll have to try desktop managerpnhasbeen wrote:

Scarlet_BuckeyePoynt is probably the best app out there. I love it and use it quite a bit.
I like the Facebook app but I don't like how it scrolls thru pictures. I have a Storm 2 and when you "swipe" the screen it should just advance one picture instead of trying to advance several.
I have OpenBeak (aka Twitter) but for some reason it doesn't seem to work unless I am connected to a wifi network. I don't like how I can't tweet if I'm not connected to a wifi. It's probably a setting I have wrong or something but it keeps saying something like request failed or whatever.
ScoreMobile is great, but it doesn't seem to run all the time.
As a whole, I love my BB Storm 2 but I am slightly disappointed with the speed (even when running on a wifi network). -

Well if the icon is in the apps folder, you don't need DM just do what karen said.

Where is a better app than Poynt and does generally the same thing. May want to check it out.Scarlet_Buckeye wrote: Poynt is probably the best app out there. I love it and use it quite a bit.

As for the speed issue, I have not heard that so maybe a goofy setting? -
karen lotzjordo, is there a chance that you "hid" the browser shortcut??? or even moved it to another folder? on the home screen, hit the blackberry button and if there is a menu option for "show all" it means you have something hidden. if you click show all it could show up but be slightly grayed out. select it without clicking on it, then blackberry button, and deselect hide in the menu. if it doesn't show up when you show all, you may have accidentally moved it to a folder, just look through all the folders (applications, downloads, instant messaging, setup) and see if you can find the browser icon and then move it to the home folder like you did with the facebook one before...

This did the trick. Thanks again! By the way, any idea on how I might have hidden them? hahakaren lotz wrote: jordo, is there a chance that you "hid" the browser shortcut??? or even moved it to another folder? on the home screen, hit the blackberry button and if there is a menu option for "show all" it means you have something hidden. if you click show all it could show up but be slightly grayed out. select it without clicking on it, then blackberry button, and deselect hide in the menu. -
karen lotzhahaha you might have accidentally hit the BB button when the browser was selected and then clicked on Hide. I've done something similar before and was definitely confused as to what happened. Glad you got it figured out without having to try reinstalling, etc...

hasbeenAnother app I finally started using is Viigo. Basically it'll let you read feeds from different news organizations.
For example, I have
Reuters World/US
Yahoo Sports
Crackberry Blogs
Then I have Fox/CNN/AP Politics
Have MLB feed
ESPN feed
NFL feed
It's pretty neat since I don't read a newspaper and miss shit on here from time to time. -
hoops23Every Blackberry user should have Viigo...
