I don't read many books but couldn't sleep last night so I started reading Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy. I was a big fan of The Road and No Country for Old Men so I decided to go with another one of his books. I'm only two chapters in but so far, so good.

I read a few his books back in college. The guy I worked with one summer was a big fan of his books and turned me on the them. I believe I read the first three he wrote, Michael Osbourne was the main character.

I'm reading Massie's biography of Peter the Great. It won a Pulitzer, and halfway through the book, I can understand why--it's the best-written history book I've ever read. Highly recommend it.

I'm reading A Storm of Swords and "Thinking Fast and Slow" by Daniel Kahneman which is a very interesting book on some of the mistakes made when relying on intuition and the mental processes behind them...
  • THE4RINGZ
"Sell or be Sold" by Grant Cardone.

I just finished a book called The Kindly Ones by Jonathan Littell.

    Anyone heard of it?

It's about a Nazi and his antics during WWII. Rather strange sexual parts in it, also.

Just finished green eggs and ham. I didn't really get it.
  • OSH
  • The Equalizer

I took a thematic fiction course for my degree, and cormac mccarthy was our "theme". his books are all very well written, i suggest you read Child of God and All the Pretty Horses by him if you have the time.

i wish i read more for pleasure, but the last two books i've read are English University Life in the Middle Ages and Don Quijote en espanol. fuck i'm ready to be done with school.

Just finished "No Surrender, My 30 Year War" by Hiroo Onoda

Incredible true story of a Japanese soldier stranded on Lubang island in the Philippines who didn't surrender until 1974. Quick read at just over 200 pages.

My wife enjoyed this book. I'd like to read it eventually. A little intimidating how long the book is, though.
