I am home mom

Belly35On this day I was home.. </SPAN>
42 years ago I was able to walk home. Got a ride from the airport to my street where I lived and walked down the street to a place called home. Some never really understand the value of a place they call home until it to later. On this day I was truly safe and that feeling was such a relief. This day I will be surrounded by those who loved me, cared about me and was proud and honored about me. This place once just a stopping place for food, shelter and a place to come to is more than that today …. It was my house, my home, family </SPAN>
My mom stood in the doorway shaking, crying, pale and weaken by the surprise emotional event. </SPAN>
It was like she was looking at a ghost …. Someone who she felt she never see again.</SPAN>
I am home mom </SPAN>
At that point all to hurt, pain, mental images of Vietnam gone just for a few minutes, those where the best few minutes between me and my mom ever…</SPAN>
You’re home now.. </SPAN>
One phone call and within 20 minute Home was filled with love ones and family .. Appreciate Your Home and as those of you who have started your own Home make it the best you can … someday your kids will honor your efforts
</SPAN>
What does home mean to you? -

dlazzI drive home everyday and my cat is there waiting for me.
"I am home, cat."
She looks perplexed, licks herself, then climbs on my bed and goes back to sleep. -
Belly35Think about this 23 day earlier I was in a combat mission on ambush in the HoBo Woods with my squad.
We had just come out of Cambodia two days earlier. -

adogGave me chills when I read this. I remember well, the day a neighborhood kid ( who happens to be a brother to a bro-in-law of mine now) came home from Nam. A very emotional day filled with hugs, tears, and laughter..........unlike what you guys endured from the general public.........Thanks for your service Belly and welcome home..............

Belly however deserves all the props he's getting here. Serving the country and from this post and others being a family man and someone who works hard. All very respectable things. -
j_crazyMy dad clings to life in wexner. All he says is its time to go home and see that baby. My son. The last male in the family. Thats literally all he says. Cause hes too weak to do much more.

I am psycho -- I believe in defending liberty, and advocate for fiscal sanity; of course I am psycho. -
