Christmas Ale!

Had a thread about it going over on gay gay but thought it deserved one here as well. IMO the finest beer Great Lakes Brewery makes.

What else can really be said? I guess you can close this thread down now.

Will be trying some. Hate Burning River, but Oktoberfest was decent.

I am going to stock up on it for the Holiday season.

I've always been one to drink Bud Light and Bud Light alone. But I tried a few Oktoberfest Beers and really liked them. So, I just might have to try Christmas Ale tonight after my "mediation hearing".

My favorite beer. It tastes like Christmas morning!

I hate probably half of their beers and love the other half. For me there's no middle ground with GLBC. Christmas Ale has that rare combination of being delicious while packing a high alcohol content. It will definitely cause some of those moments where you're sitting at the bar and have a few rounds then you stand up to use the facilities on to realize you're shitfaced.

So I don't want to stop before league tonight and by a sixer before bowling???

Still waiting to see it here in the Nati area. I look for it every year. I guess they don't produce enuogh of it to have it shipped down here. I've heard great things about it. Actually, I'm not to big on any of their other beers.

I thought the bible bangers kept all alcohol out of Nati???

If you're in a league and trying to bowl well, I would not advise a sixer. If it's recreational bowling, then in my experience, the drunker the better.

What are some good Christmas ales I can try?

I like the Sam Adams Fezziwig. Other than that, I've just had some Christmas micro brews at Barleys.

I have two bottles in storage of Thomas Hardy's Ale. One from 2003 the other 2004. They say they are best if kept for at least 10 years.

My favorite beer is Dogfish Head IPA 60.

I tried that Dogfish Head Pumpkin beer, good stuff.

May be too dark for some, being a porter, but the best available (IMO) is Three Floyds Alpha Klaus Christmas Porter
from Three Floyds Brewing Company in Munster, Indiana.

I get all my good brew from Wineworks in Springfield. (937) 323-9463

Yea, the "punkin" beer from Dogfish is good stuff.
