Lil Wayne and Young Money albums leaked.

Still haven't taken in Rebirth, mostly due to just low expectations, and fear of having those expectations realized, but that's the general consensus that I've heard. I do enjoy the Eminem track, a lot.

If you have heard drop the world feat. em dont bother to listen to the rest of the album. Almost all the other songs are prom queen quality or much worse.

Prom Queen is a pretty solid track.

Can't fault Weezy for trying to open up to something new whether you like it or not. I'm not a big fan, but he's trying to be innovative rather than just doing the same shit he could do in his sleep over and over. I think it has some potential though.

Prom Queen would be ok if it were not for that terrible hook. However, when that is the best on an album (not including a song saved be eminem) then the album just does not have a very high ceiling for potential.

I am a huge wayne fan. I generally like most of his verses and I have pretty much everything he has ever put out. I was even a pretty big fan of his auto-tune when he did it right. The problem with his rock sound is it requires him to sing and his voice is ehh. Also, he does not use his punch lines and quick hitters that make him so entertaining to listen to. Its like taking lil wayne and taking away all the good things about his flow (thus leaving gucci maine).

I'm not talking about the record having much potential--the theme of it does though I think. It's not like he can't improve on the idea.

I don't care what anyone says, Prom Queen is a solid track. I hated it at first, but it's grown on me. You hear that song maxed out on a quality system and it sounds awesome.

Provider was defintiely the best song from In Search Of...

I agree that it has some potential but why flesh out a new idea on a studio cd album. Why not drop a mixtape or two, gauge response, tweak the idea, and then put out a solid concept album instead of one that is just meh. Wayne and Birdman obviously know its not going to sell well/be well received. Why else push it back 100000X?

Because they can do whatever they want...lol

hahaha very true. The album will realistically not sell well tho. Like you say, they can do whatever they want tho. They have plenty of money to blow.

A solid track that was played out March 2009

^Well they did something right then didn't they?
  • speedrush1189
In terms of the YM record, Finale was ok and so was pass that dutch. Not wow tracks but decent. Once again, the problem is the album has a lot of ok and decent tracks, some real bad ones, and no great ones. Just nothing to set it apart from what everyone else is putting out.

Using the N word in music is offensive and racist.
  • SQ_Crazies
^Why do you keep bringing it up? No one wanted to talk about it the first time.

Because I wanted to get opinions on why this is acceptable.
  • SQ_Crazies
Can't answer that but it is what it is.

I know man and I wasn't trying to start any shit, that's just something that has always blown my mind.
  • SQ_Crazies
It's not just in music...I really have no idea, Upper may be able to better answer your question.
  • Trueblue23
You would think that word would be the absolute last thing a black person would want to hear...

    Oh well.
  • hoops23
Trueblue, who gives a shit? Why does it upset you so much?

Anyway, Lil Wayne has turned into garbage. He's not had anything I liked since Tha Carter II.

However, hip-hop is just fine. Sure, if you listen to the radio or MTV, you may not be opened up to the complete picture, which would allow you to form opinions that hip-hop does indeed suck, but alas, it doesn't...

Cudi, Wale, Drake, Blakroc, etc.. have all produce some nice recent albums. Each have a different flavor, and all the albums were produced with artistic quality.

Great music is out there, you just have to know who to look for.

Also, Souljaboy is NOT hip-hop. So don't get that shit twisted.
  • SQ_Crazies
Nothing you've liked so that means he's turned to garbage? LMAO! Lil Wayne is far from garbage--he's as good as he's ever been.
