How many hours....

se-alum40. We can work overtime occasionally, but it's never enough to be worth it for me.
-
sleeperI work about 80 hours a week. 60 at my regular job and I do some side projects for other thing I'm involved in.

You post a lot for "working" 80 hours a week.sleeper;1211730 wrote:I work about 80 hours a week. 60 at my regular job and I do some side projects for other thing I'm involved in. -

dont you have your own business?Belly35;1211710 wrote:I work 55 -60 hours a week and never weekends. I have an office in my home so I'm never really away from my work. I can check on order, production, engineering development, call China, Germany, UK or India from home early in the morning and go back to sleep for a few hours. I don't work a schedule I come and go as I want, take off when I want and work when I want. The problem is I love my work and the feel of success and accomplishment so I work harder and longer than I should. -
gorocks9950-60 most weeks, usually around 8am until 6 or 6:30pm M-F. I think last week I was at 53, has been up to 70 during my most busy weeks.

Well seeing as how my work is primarily on a computer, it's pretty easy to monitor an internet forum.Pick6;1211752 wrote:You post a lot for "working" 80 hours a week. -
TimberJust spent a long time writing out a post... that would not post. Summary 92-93 hours this week.
I have not had one full day off since March (had 1) Feb (Had 2) -
Sonofanump20-60 depending on volume. I think on average 32.
-
Ytowngirlinfla65 to 75 hours in port. Out to sea I'd say about 125 working 7 days a week straight.
-
Sykotyk40-50, just depends. I work for myself, so it's hard to quantify.
-
hasbeen32 hours. Then I coach right around 16-20 hours a week. Add in an hour or so of website updating.

GoChiefs48 most weeks, 56 if I decide to work on Sunday.
-
believer60-70 hours during our 5 month peak.....45-50 off-peak.

Manhattan BuckeyeThe question depends on if you count traveling hours - without it 35-45/week, with it, 65-75/week. I suppose that there are other things you can do on flights besides work, but still you're a captive employee. I can watch Sherlock Holmes 2 on my own time on demand and not on a 7 inch screen on an A-380.

Yes (two realy) that is why I have flex type hours and I can do some business from home.Pick6;1211754 wrote:dont you have your own business? -
jmognormal week 50...if I travel at all between 50-60.
The good thing is that I get paid OT for anything over 50 (odd salary setup...salary up to 50 but get time and a half for anything over 50...) -
like_that45 hrs for the first week of the pay period, and 35 hrs for the second week of the pay period. I have compressed scheduling, so I get every other friday off. It's a good deal since every Friday off falls on a pay day, most federal holidays fall on a payday weekend, which leads to 4 day weekends.

Best part of my 'new' job (switched back in March) is that it is the first job I've had since graduating college that I get paid for those hours on the plane. Matter of fact I get paid from the time I leave my house, drive to the airport, waiting at the airport, plane ride, and until I arrive at the hotel.Manhattan Buckeye;1211871 wrote:The question depends on if you count traveling hours - without it 35-45/week, with it, 65-75/week. It is rather nice to be salary non-exempt now instead of exempt for the last 10 years. -
BR1986FBIf we are counting commute and the work I do at home it's probably closer to 55-60 hours per week, 10 hours for commute and an additional 5-10 from home.

fan_from_texasOver the past 3 years I've averaged right at 60 hours/week, assuming I don't take any vacation. When things get busy, it spikes to the 70-80 range, but occasionally things are slow and I can dial back a bit.
-
O-TrapOn average, between my day job and running my business, about 65-70 (12+ per week day, but 5-10 total on the weekend).

OSHI can't put a number on it. Coaching and recruiting really never stops.
I'm on the road a lot, so I put in miles and hours on the pavement. In the past week and a half, I made stops in South Dakota, West Virginia, Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio. I always have to be available by phone or email. -
j_crazyI work 24/7 for two weeks a month. Off the other two.
-
Mulva40. I would never work 60 hours a week. Fuck that.
