wow that's a bold claim...and false. Opinion or not that is straight up false.

I'm personally going to lean closer to Alice in Chains than Pearl Jam.

Alice in Chains, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam my all time favs.

I prefer Nirvana then Alice in Chains. I would rather listen to Soundgarden more than Pearl Jam, so I have them fourth. Not &#8220;grunge&#8221;, but like Nine Inch Nails more than all listed. </SPAN>

My favorite 90s band is Nirvana ... BUT, Ytowngirl isn't unjustified with her claim. I can't think of a bigger band than Pearl Jam in the 90s: their draw was HUGE back then, plus with the whole Ticketmaster battle, they really muscled their way to the top of the music food chain.

I think Alice in Chains and Nirvana had better music, but I don't think either eclipsed Pearl Jam's popularity in the 90s.

What other band from the 90's has as big of a draw as Pearl Jam does today?

I bet you if the original lineups of nirvana or alice and chains had a show, more people would want to see it.

Zombies that sing rather than kill. Win.

God they suck. Eddie Vetter is horrible.
Evenflow was their only good song.

Reps, I've always hated Eddie Vetter. His "style" pisses me off.

Well their first "big" album was in the 90s. Least far as I recall.

Dmb is still a huge draw as well

I like Alice In Chains but no way are they better than Pearl Jam. To me AIC can get pretty boring pretty quick and really not that versatile. Also no way that AIC would outsell Pearl Jam on a tour.

Pearl Jam is my favorite out of that scene and one of my favorite bands. Obviously just my opinion but "Black" by Pearl Jam is a fantastic song and one of the best songs of that era.

pearl jam sucks. As does most 90's grunge music.

AGREE! If you have never been to a Pearl Jam live show....go see one. It may change your mind.

My favorite band of all time (see my signature). Even if you are NOT a fan, you have to admit the catalog of music they have put out in the past 20 years is nothing less than amazing. (volume of new music, albums and the fact the primary members *minus the drummer* has held strong together. *once again minus the drummer...cause honestly...its a drummer man! I can find a dude on High Street to drum for most bands, though the addition of Matt Cameron was CLUTCH.... probably the best replacement ever*)
