AMC's The Killing

thavoiceAnyone watch it this season?
I watched season one, and it was mildly interesting, but totally lost interest when it was prolonged into another season.
Was season two worth it? I see where the season finale, part 1 and 2, were last sunday or are next sunday.
So....who dunnit? -
Laley23It was the sister in the end who killed her (didnt know, just put the car in drive and pushed into the lake. Didnt know who was in the trunk), and Jamie who kidnapped her for overhearing shit in the casino.

Laley23And season 2 was better than season 1 imo, but they fucked that show up by not solving it season 1.

So she didnt know her sister was in the trunk? So Jamie kidnapped her and put in truck and sister pushed trunk into water?Laley23;1204572 wrote:It was the sister in the end who killed her (didnt know, just put the car in drive and pushed into the lake. Yeah..I was pretty disappointed when it went into a second season. I havent seen the ratings for season two but wonder if they had a drop off.
I saw where it said SEASON finale, so do they expect to do another one with another sort of case? I think one season is more than enough time per case.
YEars ago there was a show called Murder One that followed one murder investigation through the whole season. Was on network TV> It was pretty good, but they fetl it was better served in season two to cut it down into one murder case every few weeks. -

Let me rephrase. Rosie was planning on going away on a trip around the world. She went to the casino, to an abandoned floor to get one last look at Seattle. Jamie and the Indians were having a meeting about how great it would be if Darren was elected, for them and their land/casino. Jamie heard Rosies phone when they all left and beat her when she got scared and tried to run.thavoice;1204603 wrote:So she didnt know her sister was in the trunk? Then Jamie had her in the trunk and was driving, but had to call his buddy (I forget the character) who was cheating on his wife with the sister/Rosies aunt. The aunt was in the car as well and heard them arguing. Guy told Jamie he wasnt going to leave his wife for her and didnt want to be involved in this. The aunt got out of her car, and put the campaign car in drive and into the water. You could hear Rosie screaming as the trunk filled up with water. Her motive was to get the guy involved so he would stay with her and leave his wife, thought that is imo...not specifically said. -
thavoiceOK I got it. Thanks.
Now I dont have to watch it!
So I suppose they will have another season with a diff murder to solve -
TedShecklerDoubt it. Linden walked away from the next assignment. So, unless they center the next season around Holder, it's not going anywhere.

MulvaI thought the last 3-4 episodes were really good. Overall, it was unbearably slow for 2 seasons. I've seen speculation that it will be cancelled because of the ratings crash from season 1.

Yeah. I thought the last two episodes were really good. The final 15 minutes were really well acted. Both detectives are really good actors. The actor who played Holder was fantastic.Mulva;1205013 wrote:I thought the last 3-4 episodes were really good. Overall, it was unbearably slow for 2 seasons. Overall, an ehh show, alright. -
thavoiceI guess they would/could come back with a whole other set of actors and such.
I guess they didnt learn from the show Murder One. It drug ONE murder case out all season. It was slow last year and to be honest the only reason I watched it all was because I was assuming it would be wrapped up in one season, and wow I was wrong so didnt bother to watch season two. -
bigdaddy2003I enjoy the show overall. I like the characters and I was interested most of the time. I wonder what will happen now? I suppose they could cut it off at 2 seasons.

hoops23I love AMC's shows, but The Killing was one I couldn't stay interested in. It started off promising, but stretching the same case for 2 seasons really took my interest out of the entire show. I caught half of the season 2 finale.
