What did you do on your last birthday?

Most memorable- 3rd birthday. We suffered a flood the day before and were tapped in our house for almost a week. Not exciting, but I remember it still some 43 years later. Ergo most memorable. -

KR1245City BBQ for dinner and that's it

sherm03Last year for my birthday I had all of my wife's family over for a cookout. My mom and one of my sisters came down to hang out, which was awesome since I don't see them very much. Then all my friends came over and we had a solid bonfire with a lot of beers.
Most memorable would be my 22nd. That's the day I started dating my wife. Then, on my 26th birthday, we had our rehearsal dinner. -

I find that hard to believe, I'd think it would be from overeating or stress on a holiday like Thanksgiving or Christmas.Steel Valley Football;1196920 wrote:You are more likely to die on your birthday than any other day of the year, statistically speaking. -

It's true. -
ptown_trojans_1Last birthday, 27, was spent in Baltimore watching the Tribe vs. O's. Went out to some bars in the Inner Harbor after.
Best/ most memorable. 21st. I was studying abroad in Syria, and went to Beruit for the weekend with some friends. The weekend involved, a high end country club that we randomly got invited to, a speciality fruit cake from one of the best bakeries in the city, and a night in some of the famed Beruit clubs.
Good times -

Belly35Last year I was 62 and the wife and I with my granddaughter went Chicago visited my youngest daughter, had tickets for Jersey Boys and Lion King Broadway show. The following weekend my other two daughters had a cook out for me and we all when to the pistol range and after that Belly Family (no rules) go-carting. We always get thrown off the track at some point
Most memorable my 21[SUP]st[/SUP] I was wounded 4 weeks earlier had already 2 operations and was on my way back to the State (Walter Reed) land on the 8[SUP]th[/SUP] got enrolled into Walther Reed. I was weak and still in some pain and half of my face was wrapped. I told the Officer that my birthday was the 11[SUP]th[/SUP] and I will be going home to see my mom and family as a surprise, they still think I’m in Japan. He said that was not going to happen, I don’t think he understood I don’t follow rules very good and don’t get in my way now. The morning of the 9[SUP]th[/SUP] I made a phone call to my Congressmen. I explain to this lady that I was going home some way. I had no uniform or money but some way I will be home, plus if I leave Walter Reed I would be AWOL and I don’t care. The morning of the 10[SUP]th[/SUP] I was given 2 week orders to go home w/ back pay and given a uniform and honors. I got a flight to Canton/Akron stand-by that night arrived at 10:30. I walked out of the airport and cried in the parking lot. I was home, everything hit me and I couldn’t believe that I was home. A man and his wife ask me if I was OK I just stared at then .. Then he said do you want a ride home. Can you just take me to the end of my street I want to walk home.. I arrived at home just before midnight on the 10[SUP]th[/SUP] … seeing my mom was my greatest gift. </SPAN> -
wildcats20I honestly have no idea. And I wish it were because of being drunk. But I just don't remember.

My dad says the samething belly. My grandmother said he dropped to his knees and just apologized for anything and everything. My grandma told me more about him and that time of his life. Glad you shared this.Belly35;1197506 wrote:Last year I was 62 and the wife and I with my granddaughter went Chicago visited my youngest daughter, had tickets for Jersey Boys and Lion King Broadway show. Pretty cool, Belly. Was going to make some jokes on your spelling, then I got to the end of your story. THanks for sharing.Belly35;1197506 wrote:Last year I was 62 and the wife and I with my granddaughter went Chicago visited my youngest daughter, had tickets for Jersey Boys and Lion King Broadway show. ernest_t_bassLast was my 31st, and we went out to eat, and that was it. Got laid, I think.
-
ernest_t_bassNo idea what was the best. I hate birthdays, to be honest. I'm just going to say 21st, since I knew I could now buy beer legally.

OSHLast birthday: I set up the whole day. I took my wife to COSI in Columbus because she grew up and Kentucky and never heard of it -- she loves science. Then we met up with my uncle and grandma for Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream. Then we met up with my best friend and took him to a Crew game. Then we took him to a different Jeni's to get more ice cream. A great time was had by all.
Most memorable: Probably the first birthday I had with my now wife. It was during preseason in college. She surprised me with an Xbox 360 and tickets to a Green Bay game in December -- my first Packers game and a lifelong dream to go to Lambeau. I had no idea I was getting anything like I did. -
ernest_t_bassWhat I normally do on my birthdays, but have not been able to do in the last couple years, is take a vacation day and go golfing the entire day, usually 36 holes at the least. Like I said in my previous post, I hate birthdays, and I love being on the golf course all to myself.
