  I agree with others on here, do not go to an expensive place on yoru first date, esp if you just met the girl. Go to a solid place (aka not fast food etc..) save the fancy places for special occasions. Sounds like the guy is desperate IMO. Sounds like the type to call the girl later on that night after the date.

  Lady in my office pretty much said the same thing. She said don't set the bar high, because we will most likely expect to go to good places all the time.

  He lives in Miami, she lives in Ft Lauderdale.
  
  They meet in Miami, he falls in love, she leaves. The following week the dumbass flies her to Miami and takes her out and blah blah....pays for EVERYTHING. He's been paying ever since and they still aren't "together." They came for a visit 2 weeks ago. I didn't see her pull out a wallet, debit card, cash the entire time.
