Do you complain about free food?

krambmanI can kinda understand where the guy is coming from, but I'd still eat it and not complain. If you worked your but off for something and were being rewarded with food, I'd want it to be something I liked too. If I worked that hard and it was pizza I didn't like I'd be bummed that everyone else was able to enjoy it and I wasn't. I may say something like "next time we should try someplace different, like Papa Johns because it comes with the garlic butter dipping sauce" or "maybe we could do wings next time to mix it up" as a friendly suggestion, but I'd still be thankful for what we got this time. I'd never complain about the free food before me even if it wasn't my favorite. And honestly, the pizza can't be so awful that you wouldn't be able to scarf down a few pieces when it's free. You may not ever order it for yourself, but pizza is pizza and you should be able to get a piece or two down.

power iWe hosted our first playoff game a few years ago and made chili for the press box. Some d-bag sports reporter sat and watched me carry 10 loads of food up the steps then came over and lifted the lid and said "Oh great. Chili again." I remembered where I was and turned around and left without saying a word.

They have been hounding me for donuts, but when I went that morning, there were not enough donuts left for the entire class. So I bought Amish baked cookies. The girl didn't want any b/c they were oatmeal raisin (terrific cookies) and complained about it. I told them I would buy them donuts some time, but she wasn't happy with just something.
