What is your "never again" brand, item, store, or restaurant?

I've turned down that road as well. If I'm working outside, or realxing outside in the summer (at home) I'll sport a basketball jersey but other than that I don't wear jerseys anymore either. Not even to games.Mohican00;1173026 wrote: also, sports jerseys. I think I'm way past that age (30) where it's appropriate to wear jerseys. Don't give a shit if other guys do it but it's just not for me -

friendfromlowryI generally avoid McDonalds except for breakfast. But whatever that burrito they have has gotten me sick twice. Too bad, I like burritos

Curly JBeer - Budweiser. I don't like Big Beer and their tactics.
Pizza - Marco's. While I like their food their service sucked on several occasions. Even complaints on their website didn't change things. Just the "We're sorry, we will try harder, the employees have been uptrained, and your next order is free" from the GM of the location. Yep, I want my account flagged as the one that got Little Johnny in trouble...Can I get that order to go with Extra Spit ???
Blaze Gourmet - Ordered stuff through their site when it was under a different name, but the same Cowboy George owner. Never arrived and just got the old "I'm sorry and I'll take care of it right away" lip service. Finally after over 6 months of no product I got my refund since he couldn't get the product I ordered. -
justincredibleThat sucks you had bad experiences with Marco's. They just opened one by us and we like it.

Fun side note: Cowboy George is a friend of mine from college. Not a super-good-friend or anything, since we really only communicate via random Facebook postings, but I know the guy. Good dude and all, but knowing him, I can see some of those little details going by the wayside. Hell, I won a bottle of stuff from him on some Facebook trivia question and never received it, so I know what you're saying.Curly J;1173050 wrote:Blaze Gourmet - Ordered stuff through their site when it was under a different name, but the same Cowboy George owner. In short: You attempted to get good customer service from one of my old party buddies. Lol on you. -
Steel Valley FootballHawaiian Punch and Lucky Charms since 1980 when I hurled them out of the car window going to Geauga Lake.
Jim Beam since 1987 when I got sick and made a vomit circle in my buddy's front yard.
Some of you may not be familiar w a vomit circle. Thats when you are lying down puking and so hammered you can only slightly get out of the puke, but just your head. So, you rotate your body like a clock w your hips staying in the same spot lol. Not pretty in the morning. -

Love their food, but the same poor service over and over was too much. Wrong order made, late deliveries, cold food, shitty attitudes by the employees and the like.
I was going to add that I think the GM, in Fairfield, is an asshat much like the Admin of this site...but I won't add that. -

FYI, I know you're a big craft beer guy: Goose Island is Bud now (so, BTW, is Land Shark). Their 312 isn't brewed in the Midwest anymore, it's brewed in upstate NY. When they sold out my consumption of their beers went down considerably.Curly J;1173050 wrote:Beer - Budweiser. I don't like Big Beer and their tactics. -
vball10setWe have Marco's pizza a couple times a month (Toledo), and have been fortunate not to have had any problems with the food or service--ever.

That's the most delicious part!justincredible;1173023 wrote:I don't mind them every once in a while. The thing I hate about them is actually being able to hear America getting fatter while I'm there. It's gross. -
THE4RINGZA local bar here in Wooster, we went there at least three times a month for years and years. The food was good, the service better, and the prices reasonable. A couple of years ago they changed the entire staff and menu. We started getting really poor service and the prices kept climbing. The last time we were there we were so disappointed in the entire experience, we vowed never to return, and we haven't.

What all have you done to drop your weight?Heretic;1173028 wrote:That. And for me, I've dropped over 50 pounds in the past year. I'd rather not gain it back. I'm the sort of person who's good at maintaining a diet, but if I break it, I tend to break it for a loonnnnggg time. I could see me gorging at one of those fat havens and winding up gaining 15 pounds back over the next month. Fuck that shit. I'd rather keep things smooth and steady with small portions instead of going somewhere, dropping a few dollars and then eating 3 days worth of food at one meal. -
Mooney44CardsI think with O'Charley's, as with some other franchise restaurant's, it all depends on the franchise owner. For example I think the O'C's in the greater Cincinnati area are gross, dirty, and have bad service. But the one's up in the Youngstown area that are owned by Covelli are pretty great. Much cleaner (maybe because they are newer?), better service, better food IMO.

Sadly, the answer is basically "eating like a normal person, except maybe a bit less". My eating habits were just that bad. I'd gorge myself before bed, skip breakfast, have a large lunch and mid-size dinner and then another late-night feast.ernest_t_bass;1173067 wrote:What all have you done to drop your weight?
I've mostly cut out the late-night food. If I'm at a friend's and drinking, I might have some cheese and crackers before bed, but that's about it. That was huge.
For the day, I just eat mostly small portions. While I doubt any of the supermarket frozen entrees are overly healthy, a lot of them are small portions (200-400 calories), which works out well for me as far as the office goes. I grab one and nuke it when hungry. If I go for something like pie, cake, donuts, ice cream, etc., it's a mid-day thing and not a night thing. As a mid-day thing, I can adjust what I eat the rest of the day based on that; as a night thing, it's just something extra stuck in your body overnight. Now that I'm more lean and healthy, I'm adding exercise to things more and more. No real regiment like what a lot of people here do -- I just like to play music at night and bounce around the living room doing calisthenic-type stuff. Have a couple of rubber cords I can do some isometric (or whatever its called) stuff, too.
Probably the trickiest part was just going cold-turkey on various vices like drinking and the green for most of the summer last year. I'd tried to diet and failed and figured a big part of the problem was that I'm kind of a creature of habit and if I'm used to getting drunk/high and pounding pizza (or some other fatty food), well, I'd be drunk and just say "FUCK IT!" and break the diet. So I figured that if I took some time off from that and got into a habit of not eating at night, I'd be able to reintroduce those vices without backsliding. So far, things have worked great. -

I Wear PantsOVI. Not gonna do that again (SHUT THE FUCK UP ETB WITH THE "ITS ABOUT PRODUCTS")
As for products I'm simply done buying cheap, shitty items and food simply because it's cheap. I'll buy better things (this doesn't mean name brand since those aren't an indicator of quality) which will last longer/taste better/be healthier. Sure I'll be able to buy less items or food but I'll take that trade off for the quality. -
