An interesting question of ethics.

Devils AdvocateI have my brothers IPAD. I was looking through it a couple of weeks ago, Logged off about 4 message boards ( this one included ) and haven't touched it since.
My delema is this. There are a shit load of cool apps and music on it ( and about 50 bucks on his Itunes account and over 2,000 tunes). Do I use it as is, Or reboot the thing and start over.
It really seems creepy to use it, ( He lived with the thing and walked around the house with it so much, I thought it was attached to his hand) But I could have one hell of a time with it because he saved the passwords on all of the message boards and media sites he used.
What say you? Should I wipe the drive, or give the ol bomber one last epic run? -
ytownfootballHe would tell you to use it. There's your answer.

ernest_t_bassUse it. Perfectly legal, considering you can register more than one device to an account.

enigmaaxYes, it is perfectly okay to use the stuff. Just as it is okay to give the porn stash away....to me. I'm not sure if you didn't get the first 16 PMs with my address or if you are just ignoring them.

gutActually, I believe it is illegal to use gmail accounts (and not sure if other accounts would be an issue for similar reasons). Typically you can't transfer these accounts, and it's fraud to use someone else's account even with their permission. Maybe not on otherwise anonymous message boards, but an email account or other sensitive private information, or doing transactions, you are not who you claim to be.
I might be off base, just a bit I picked-up on reading about a similar issue with a gmail account a while back. Apparently, it can take a virtual act of God to get Google to release an account to even a spouse of a diseased person if they didn't leave he password. Accessing may be a gray area at worst, but "transacting" (broadly speaking) is likely commiting fraud. -
2kool4skoolWhat part of this was supposed to be interesting?
