Hopefully Charlie doesn't get ahold of my dealer. You'd think now that he found God he'd let him do the judging instead of judging people on his own and lynching them.OSH;1161972 wrote:I like the lyric. That's why I posted it. -

It's not like he's holding them in cells or something. He's only hanging people.

Was just kidding lol. It's still cool lyric you're right and a good song. I saw a list of famous drug reference songs that were anti-drug songs that most think are pro-drug. Ill look for it. Thx for adding to thread. -
Steel Valley FootballWhere's beast_1 btw? This thread was dedicated to him!

See, that's where he let's God do the "judging," Charlie only said if he had it his way...it'd be done like that. It's not his way, so it's not done like that.justincredible;1162002 wrote:Hopefully Charlie doesn't get ahold of my dealer. Yeah, it's all good. I thought I'd add a couple of those since they were the first to come to my mind -- except Cocaine by Eric Clapton.Steel Valley Football;1162022 wrote:Was just kidding lol. Those anti/pro songs are fun. Like when people play pro-America songs and play Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA." Classic. But, I look forward to those songs if you find them! -
Steel Valley FootballWho can decipher what this song is about?
30 Days In The Hole lyrics
Chicago green, talkin' 'bout Black Lebanese
A dirty room and a silver coke spoon
Give me my release, come on
Black napalese, it's got you weak in your knees
Just seeds and dust that you got bust on
You know it's hard to believe
30 days in the hole
That's what they give you
I know
Newcastle Brown, I'm tellin' you, it can sure smack you down
Take a greasy whore and a rollin' dance floor
It's got your head spinnin' round
If you live on the road, well there's a new highway code
You take the urban noise with some Durban Poison
It's gonna lessen your load
What you doin' boy?
You here for 30 days
Get, get, get your long hair cut
And cut out your ways
Black napalese, it got you weak in your knees
Just seeds and dust that you got bust on
You know it's so hard to please
Newcastle Brown can sure smack you down
You take a greasy whore and a rollin' dance floor
You know you're jailhouse-bound
30 days in the hole

Had you heard it before listening here? A lot of people mistakenly think Steve Marriott singing is Janis Joplin. -

Steve Marriott is pretty legendary in music circles. He left his group The Small Faces to form Humble Pie in 1968 and a young lad named Rod Stewart was his replacement. Along with Stewart into the group was Ronnie Wood who would go on to play for years with the Rolling Stones. The Small Faces drummer with Marriott was Kenney Jones who became Keith Moon's replacement in The Who when Moon died.
Here's an older Humble Pie song call The Sad Bag of Shakey Jake. The guitarist in green who sings the second verse is a young (20 yrs old) Peter Framptom.
