Now I just moved, but goddam. $17000. Whats the biggest bill you've ever got?

For the record, I'm paying it all off, no balance.

Water softener, home theater, outdoor kitchen, new bed, new kitchen table for the breakfast nook, office furniture, etc.

Damn. I will be in a similar boat very soon, only furniture we have is bedroom stuff. I will have 3k after my move. That will be my largest bill ever.

Paying that all off in 1 month? Fuck. I want a job that allows me to do that.

I can't think of a credit card bill of more than about $4,000 (the month we renovated our basement, bought projector, home theater equipment, etc.). Paid it off that month.

Same as you - moving. $11,000 for air/boat transfer to new place/storage. $12,000 for dog move bills. $5,000 or so for incidentals and monthly living expenses. Close to $30,000 but it was a corporate AMEX with no limit. We got most (not all) of it back but it was crazy authorizing the payment from our bank account.

It cost you $12k to ship your dog overseas?!? I'd have rowed it across the Atlantic myself for half that.

Someday I'll pretend to have enough money to start a thread on OC about paying off my $17k credit card bill.

That was without the 2 grand my company paid for dogsitting and babysitting during the move.

I hope we have everything we need so this never happens again. Our problem was our old house came with a lot of builtins. So we didn't have a dresser or a desk for the office. And the water has a hardness of like 9 so i needed the softener.

Mine was close to $600. I held out and refused to get a CC for the longest time. Still not a fan and only use it to buy flights.

    If i didn't get points. I wouldn't use mine.

Paid off over 6 months with no interest... Don't use CC's much at all.

Not a troll attempt at all...no one sees the hilarity in telling us you spent $12,000 on transporting your dog? LOL Do you stare at yourself in the mirror, j crazy?

We were living in a hotel for 6 weeks and my wife works. So it was like 75 a day for both for 24 days. Wasn't like a 1 day for 2k thing.
  • gerb131
Only use our cc for emergency purposes think highest has been around 2k.

If my math is correct, that's not $12k.
