Obviously depends on what you need at the time. Elaborate?

And there you have the difference between FB and Twitter.

^ I think that's the point. Both serve their own purposes well.

    EDIT: Ooops, WebFire beat me.

    lol..

I believe I already mentioned both were different, however you can still like one over the other. A dictionary and Thesaurus are educational tools that have different uses...

Twitter and FaceBook are social mediums that are used to interact with other people, though they differ in how they approach that scenario, the idea is similar.

Again, I mentioned in an earlier post that they were different, however, that doesn't mean you can't prefer one over the other.

As I said, I prefer Twitter to FaceBook.

Sure you can prefer. But I don't think one can be better than the other. They do different things. Just like the thesaurus and dictionary. The both deal with words, but have different purposes. One can't really be better.

I don't think FaceBook and Twitter are as different as a dictionary and thesaurus though. I think you can compare Twitter and FaceBook...

Do you compare NBA to NFL on which you like better? They are different, but they're both sports. Same with FaceBook and Twitter... Both are different, but they are still social mediums.

Either way, this isn't really even an argument. Obviously people have an opinion on which they like better and that's the one they assumedly use more often. The thread was about FaceBook buying a peaking Instagram app lol.

    Thank you.

You can like something more than the other. But if their intentions arent the same, you cant compare them. Whats the point? What are you comparing? They deal with different things. You can like Twitter more than FB all you want, but it doesnt make sense to say Twitter>FB. What is it better in? Appealing to you?

Fair enough. Back to the topic, I had never heard of instagram until this took place.

I downloaded it a while ago.. It's basically a glorified camera app with filters and it allows you to upload the photos to a timeline... Almost like Twitter with pictures..

I didn't care much for it though. Some of the filters are ok, but I never did get the love for the app.

My last post on this because it's getting pointless...

But if you like something more than the other, it would make it better in your eyes. That's all I'm saying. I never compared FB and Twitter lol..

If I say Twitter > Facebook, it's because I PREFER it. That makes it better for me. That's all, nothing more, nothing less.

We should keep this discussion going. Its more interesting that a photo app that sets us back 60 years lol.

I get what your saying, btw. I just think its odd to even say I like it more cause I dont think they are similar at all. To me, its like saying I like my iPhone more than Pizza. It draws a response from me like, "ok...but they arent even the same, so why are you relating one to the other?"

FB, MySpace and G+ are trying to do the same thing. Relating those makes sense to me.

I immediately deleted my instagram app the second I read on Twitter that Facebook bought Instagram. I figured their new goal would be for every picture I ever have taken to be viewed by the entire world... no thanks! Ba bye!

I only keep my facebook account to keep up with old friends, family, etc, but they are making it awfully tough for me to keep it. Along will come an OC to make everything OK for me... I have faith :)

Facebook was able to displace MySpace because MySpace was terrible and wasn't as wide-spread as Facebook is today.

Google+ is struggling to displace Facebook because Facebook is actually a decent application and widely adopted by most of the population. That's a pretty big stronghold that Google+ is trying to dethrone. Not an easy task.
