thavoiceBelieve it or not, sometimes the warranty dept doesnt have batteries for a certain device at that time and have to do stupid shit like that.
I got out 5 weeks ago after working there for close to 12 years. The constant BS, and run-arounds, and how big ATT at every step tries to cut the throats of their agent locations just finally got the best of me. It is extremely difficult to work in an environment when the parent company of ATT is more of a competitor than a partner. -

Our local rep who oversaw 12-15 stores would always insist that the call centers were all based in the US. AT times I would bring up to him how some of them were so hard to understand because their accept was so overbearing. Then came new years eve this year. IT was 10:59 here in ohio. The rep said to me 'it may get loud in a minute as it is about to turn to the new year' Then ya could hear alot of commotion in the background before being put on hold. The rep came back and apologized but it had just turned midnight so everyone was yelling stuff. So this call center was foreign, and 13 hours ahead.
I told that to him and his repsone was, 'well, maybe a few are overseas". -

I knew something was up and when we said we wouldnt ship them out then that was always the end of teh conversation. Those calls stopped a couple of years ago....probably about the time the new rules went into place
