  I suppose you could create a dummy email account for this, but that is more access than I'm willing to hand over. What if they ask to go through your house and inspect your dirty underwear?

  I appreciate you pointing out the obvious sentiment that it would be a turn off of that company.
  
  It's clear they don't want a representative of the company who has the desire to be a derelict in their own time. It's good to know early that you won't be a match at that company anytime you're interviewing. It allows you to spend resources on another company that would be a match.

  What does being a derelict have to do with not giving up your password? Personal shit in my email is just that, personal. What I discuss in my emails is absolutely no business of a potential employer. Seriously, anyone that gives up their passwords should die in a fire.

  This doesn't even seem like it could be legal to ask in an interview. Where does it end? As others on this thread have said, e-mail passwords? Bank account info.? Home inspections? This is a terrible idea for employers to try and access this type of information.
