Speeding tickets

  • like_that
Only once. 55 in a 35. One of those streets where the speed limit all of a sudden just drops, and of course there was an asshole cop right at the point waiting to take advantage.

I have had probably 5 warnings. 2 tickets. Both in the past 5 years. One by a State Patrol who was on a back road for some reason, and one in Virginia in the middle of the night.

    Been driving for 35 years.

Did not know a moped could go that fast.

VA cops are the fucking worst.

It was on I-77 northbound. Can't remember exactly where. I was driving home from Florida. It was around 3 or 4 in the morning. Coming down a mountain, not paying any attention to speed, then all of a sudden there were flashing lights behind me.

I know better. I have driven through VA enough, but just was not paying attention.

Zero. I regularly go 7mph over.

I regularly drive 20-25 over and only have 1. Not bad.

There are a few areas where I was known to drive like a complete asshole. One of those is 270 (traffic permitting) in Columbus... the other is I-70 as you approach I-675 near Huber Heights. I don't hesitate to do 85-90 if I am annoyed with slow drivers.

Usually I park it at 7mph. Cops usually let you go 7-10 over anyways.

Also, any place where it's 55 and it clearly doesn't need to be (315 near OSU) I almost always drive whatever I want.

Then again, that was when I had my Mustang. My new car tops out at 60 because it's Korean.

Couple tickets but when you drive 1500-2000miles a week it happens.

Six for BRF in 43 years of driving. Five by staties.....no breaks from those dicks that trooperden personified. I wonder what my OC pal, Belly, has? Probably none, with just a lot of warnings because he scared the cops!

You going to the Convo tomorrow to watch Eastern Brown/Ironton?

Let me know if you get a ticket in Jackson Co.

Jackson Co has cops? Can't make the game but why does it seem Ironton is always in our (Eastern Browns) way of getting to the Regionals?
  • hoops23
One ticket. 75 in a 60 on RT 2/I-90 outside of Rocky River...

I have received SEVERAL warnings though. Probably 5 or 6 total.

Ironton might be the most upsettable of the top teams....Eastern plays well again and it could happen. Ironton's athletic 6'6 stud still has an upper ankle sprain

2 tickets about 3 years apart and on the same road.
  • GOONx19
Seven warnings, all for 15-20 over. One ticket.
  • Iliketurtles
I've gotten 4 speeding tickets and a few warnings.
  • BAMABUCK
I just got popped last week 78 in a 55. Middle of the STIX too. I have had @ 12-15 speeding tickets. This is the first one in 4-5 years.I dont mind driving fast but I do not speed in populated or residential areas. IMO the freeways should be audobahn stlye.
  • fortfan
I never get warnings. What is wrong with me? I have probably 5 tickets, but I'm an old sob. Seems like all of them are for 11 mph over. Two in same year a couple years ago raised my insurance-I am more careful now.
  • sportchampps
I got one for 81 in a 65. I was going like 90 but the cop lowered it on the ticket. I was 17 when I got it so I had to take a defensive driving course and pay the fine. I also got a ticket for loud music in my car which is bs cus I was driving a Honda accord with stock speakers and a ticket for running a stop sign where there's no point to there being a stop sign.

I also got pulled over for 40 in a 25 but the gave me a warning.
