Santa:
"Dear BigAppleBuckeye,
Nice spelling. You're on your way to being a career lawncare specialist. How 'bout I send you a fucking book so you can learn to read and write? I'm giving your older brother the space ranger, at least HE can spell!
Santa"

iuhoosier11I don't think I ever believed in Santa Claus. I think it's pretty fun for the little kids to think Santa is real, but it's pretty ridiculous for any kid over 8 years old. My wife's cousins (twin boys) still think Santa is real and they're 11 years old. Their mother really pushes it hard on them and I almost feel sorry for these kids. I was going to tell them last year that he wasn't real and my wife got all pissed so I didn't. I just think it's stupid. I'm sure the kids at school make fun of them.

xnds1fanto answer you question 8 yes eight years old. I found a Kmart price sticker on one of my stocking stuffers.
-
AppleI was the youngest kid in my family. I honestly don't ever remember believing in Santa but do remember my older brothers showing me where my parents hid the gifts.
-
v_falconsoh my god. you have children reading this site, and you spread that garbage! sickening. : )
I was 6 or so..My mother decided to finally tell me.. I ended up literally in my bedroom for about 2 days straight.. first depression of my life ..lol -
vdubb96I'm not sure when I stopped believing. I love the fact though that my kids think he's real. You forget the innocence. It's great!
-
DESCENTdmci dont really remember, but im gonna say somewhere between 5-8. i learned at a young age how to talk my mom into getting 1 gift early.
-
bcubedWhen my kids asked me I have only asked them "what do you think"! My oldest is 11 and I think she stopped believeing at 7 and my middle child is 8 and I'm not sure if she believes or not (but I'm sure she is skeptical). My son is 5 and as long as he gets "Star Wars" toys he doesn't care where they come from!
I'm friends with a family who have 6 kids ranging in age from 12-3 and they all still believe, but the family really does it up big time. Every Christmas eve night the kids and their parents all sleep in their parents bedroom and their grandpa who lives next door comes over after they are all in bed but not asleep and takes pieces off wood and throughs them up onto the roof and goes around the house shaking bells and yelling HO HO HO. It's really kind of wierd! -
JTizzleI think I was 8-10, when I found a Harts price sticker on one my toys. The next year I started searching before christmas and found the stash of presents for me and my brothers. My mom was pissed because I told my younger brothers that Santa was hoax.
My son who is seven is a little skeptical I think. I tried to tell him Santa was low on cash and the Elves were on strike and didn't buy it. lol -

Buckeye2BDammit, you guys had all the fun of Christmas sucked out of it. At ten, I was questioning it. At 11, I knew. Why not let it last as long as it can?
-
SQ_CraziesI don't remember how old I was--probably 7 or 8. But I remember I found out because I looked out the window and saw my dog eating the reindeer food--so I went down stairs and caught my parents carrying in the presents lol.
-
j_crazywhen I was like 8 I asked mom why there were presents under the tree on like december 14th.

Little DannyYes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus
Editorial Page, New York Sun, 1897
We take pleasure in answering thus prominently the communication below, expressing at the same time our great gratification that its faithful author is numbered among the friends of The Sun:
I am 8 years old. Some of my little friends say there is no Santa Claus. Papa says, "If you see it in The Sun, it's so." Please tell me the truth, is there a Santa Claus?
Virginia O'Hanlon
Virginia, your little friends are wrong. They have been affected by the skepticism of a sceptical age. They do not believe except what they see. They think that nothing can be which is not comprehensible by their little minds. All minds, Virginia, whether they be men's or children's, are little. In this great universe of ours, man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge.
Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.
He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus! It would be as dreary as if there were no Virginias. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The external light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished.
Not believe in Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in fairies. You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the chimneys on Christmas eve to catch Santa Claus, but even if you did not see Santa Claus coming down, what would that prove? Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that's no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world.
You tear apart the baby's rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived could tear apart. Only faith, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, Virginia, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding.
No Santa Claus?Thank God he lives and lives forever. A thousand years from now, Virginia, nay 10 times 10,000 years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!
