The Black Keys "El Camino" tour

  • justincredible
Last nights show started off a little sketchy for me, I was a little worried. Then they played Gold on the Ceiling and I knew everything was going to be alright. Then Dan and Patrick played on their own and it was fucking glorious. I loved that they played a lot of pre-Brothers stuff. They only played, what, 5 songs from El Camino? Unfortunately they didn't play my favorite, Sister, but the show was still fantastic. They didn't play Ohio, either. Fuckers.

I love Dan Patrick. He was great in The Longest Yard. I never knew he was from Ohio.

Yeah, but I never knew he was a singer.

Ah, Okay. I just saw you said "I never knew he was from Ohio." My bad as I misunderstood what you said/meant.

Starts off with a nice little acoustic picking, then adds some percussion, and then at about two minutes in it switches to a pretty hard song and ends with a ridiculous solo.

    Fucking love this song

He's actually not in the Black Keys anymore due to creative differences.

He tried really hard to make a joke. You misunderstood what he said/meant because it was a terrible joke.

Dan and Patrick = Dan Patrick, fucking comedy gold.

Dan and Patrick = Dan Patrick, ****ing comedy gold.

My Youngstown stalker. Did you know Youngstown was originally slated to be named Whitestown? That would have been some serious irony right there.

    Cincinnati was originally called Losantiville.

    I don't live in Youngstown.

Also, no need for me to stalk you, your terrible jokes are all over this board.

Just recently started getting in to them because they have like 6 songs that I recently have been learing to play because of the Rocksmith video game. Gold on the ceiling, I got mine, next girl, tighten up, cant remember the other songs but fun guitar songs to learn to play.

They put on a very good show in Columbus last night. Solid from beginning until the end.

Did the Arctic Monkeys open for them in Cincy too? My friends went last night and loved BK but hated the opening act.

Yes, the Arctic Monkeys opened up the show in Cincy, too. I wasn't a huge fan of them. But I didn't think they were terrible either.

I only caught a song and a half of the Arctic Monkeys. I'm with sherm, I didn't hate them but I didn't love them either.
  • sherm03
This was really the only Arctic Monkeys song I really liked, mostly because it sounds a lot like something The Fratellis would have done...

Never had it. I prefer Sorrento's. But my wife says Queen City Pizza is the best.

    It's in West Chester.
