I have no need for guns since guns just represent violence and death. I prefer to combat people with words and ideas.

After my military service I decided that having weapons would be a reminder of time I was not sure about who I was. For a little over 40 years passed and the family has gone in 2010 I approached the wife and we talked about me having weapons. My passion to be able to shoot, test myself again and prepare to participate in competitive contest was overwhelming. She had told me that she knew someday this conversation would happen. She has been supportive and has also participated in the training. Two out of three of my daughter now shot and have weapons (daughter in Chicago has one in her appartment) she drives outside the city to a range to shoot.

I choose my weapons carefully and buy what I want, feel is the best for the situation.

    I carry a Sig P220 .45
    Sig P226 9mm for competition / training

    Future Purchase
Would like to get a Sig P226 X Five someday
AR-15 not sure of the make or model ( I do like Sig however)
Like to own an Kentucky Long Rife, Winchester Rifle, M16 and AK47 ( we can dream)
In the near future and old wonderful friend who has been sick will someday give me his weapons collection … (15 to 20 shotguns, pistols and rifles)

Inherited a bunch of guns from my grandfather. The ones I like the most are the ar15, m16 that has the firing pin and some springs are broke plan to get this fixed sometime. I also have sks, ak, and a soviet rifle i dont know much about looks like its from WWI but not sure. Have two over under browning 12 and 20 gauge with same serial numbers. 870 wingmaster 12 looking for a 20 gauge. Several 22 lr and two 30/30 lever actions but nothing special.

I'm thinkin' I'm going to go with a revolver, since it will be strictly for protection and they are more reliable than semis.

I've wanted to buy a gun for a while but haven't went through with it yet. A couple years back my buddy brought over his .357 sig and asked if I wanted to shoot it. I'd really never shot a gun before and I was pretty interested in doing so. So I took the gun and set up a pop can. I was pretty impressed with the power of the gun. So when I finally get a gun that will probably be my first purchase.

If i had a gun i would just want to shoot melons to watch them explode.

I'd also be tempted to shoot animals in my yard with it

I took advantage of the lax Arizona gun show laws (I still have my Ohio driver's license, showing them that and my UofA ID was enough for them to run the background check and sell it to me) to pick up a Smith & Wesson M&P 15 .22 LR rifle yesterday. I got it mainly for going to the range and to a lesser extent protection, but I'm still extremely wary of owning a gun. I got it for a good price and I have a bunch of friends with guns so I'll have company at the shooting range.

After I get my scope it'll look like this:

I have plenty of pistols, rifles and shotguns. I want to add am M4 in 5.56 with a multi-cal lower next. Seems practical, right? To do it all over I would buy a T/C variant and simply add barrels to the set up. I know its single shot but if it takes more you either need to aim better or use a larger caliber! Then I would add a my carry pistol,skeet/trap shot gun and an "assult/battle" rifle and buy a good progressive re-loader and be DONE.
