Dexter Finale (Spoilers obvi)
-
capninsanoSo I just watched the finale....wtf...I can't say I saw that coming. Is it for real?
-
gerb131I am so pissed right now. I just watched it again and the same shit happened. I need to go back and watch the sitdown with Dexter and Trinity they had after the show.
My favorite show for sure. -
Piratepride05What a season. Best so far! Can't beat the ending!
-
thedynasty1998Awesome show! When Trinity was rolling along in his Mustang I thought maybe they would have him just fade off into the sunset and let it carry over to next season. But there were 20 minutes left so I knew something was going to happen.
This is the first full season I've watched and this show is amazing! Bought season one for the girlfriend for Christmas so that I can watch it.
I wish that there was some dialoge between Dexter and Trinity about Rita, but it was well done.
The sitdown with Dexter and Trinity was pretty cool -
elbuckeye28Best season by far and what a crazy ending to the season
-
capninsanoRita is definitely gone. Listened to the interview and Hall talks about feeling bad for "Julie". I don't think I have ever felt such shock from a moment in tv in my life. So good.
-
thedynasty1998I agree with the shock effect. I wasn't real high on here in the early parts of this season, but I thought as the season progressed she became more and more important to the story line.
I just sat there after the show for a minute or two and just didn't know what to say.
I'll have to go back tonight and watch the episode again. -
capninsanoAlso, what are the options for season five? The only thing I can think of is Dexter spends the entire season trying to clear his name. With Rita's death, the husband is always suspect numero uno. Matsuko (sp) told Dexter about Rita kissing another man, he showed he was mentally unstable the day Rita was murdered by spiking the guys phone. Right there is motive and someone not in the right state of mind. Plus, with Rita's Trinity style death, Dexter being discovered at Trinity's so soon after the SWAT team, and "Kyle Butler" for the cops to look for once they talk with Trinity's family...I think right there are all the loose ends that the writers have to tie up in season five. Can they fit another serial killer for Dexter to chase at the same time?
-
YtowngirlinflaI honestly don't think the trinity killer killed Rita. I think next season he tries to find the killer while trying to prove himself innocent.
-
capninsanoIn the interview afterwards LIthgow says Rita's death is Trinity's doing.
-
thedynasty1998Very good questions for next season. But maybe the family is never asked about "Kyle Butler".
But Trinity was in the police station, so after his picture is released, you would think one of the detectives would recognize or remember him.
How does Dexter respons to not having a wife to take care of the kids full time?
So many interesting questions withstanding, and it should make for a great season 5. -
SportsAndLadyJust watched this finale...what a crazy ending.
The baby sitting in blood freaked me out. -
MulvaI finally watched the finale yesterday, and I thought it was one of the worst episodes of the show so far.
I wasn't a fan of the final showdown between Dexter and Trinity. For as much as they built it up for 8 episodes or whatever it was, it just seemed anti-climatic for it to be as easy as it was for Dexter in the end.
Also, I think the show just gets less and less believable. How do people (let alone cops), still not realize that everyone around Dexter dies? Especially now that Deb knows that his brother was a serial killer, and that fact that he continually shows up at crime scenes before anyone else gets there, if there isn't some serious heat on Dexter from within the department next season it will be very disappointing.
Wasn't a fan of Rita dying either, but that's mostly because she was hot.
I was never a big fan of the whole baby angle, and I would say season 4 was a disappointment as a whole. Trinity was a great character, but the general storylines just weren't that appealing.
