Rock on the Range 2012

IliketurtlesAnybody else going this year? Already purchase tickets by doing the hotel package deal. I'm pretty pumped for the line up.
-
Gblocknot a huge rock and roll guy but i go every year because my bros law firm has a box and its free food and liqour...i always have a good time. nice to people watch anyway like the dude last year who kept chugging beers and then falling down to the cheers of the whole crowd. i dont recognize as many bands on this lineup as i usually do but i havent seen cypress hill in years so that will be cool.
-
Midstate01Not crazy about the lineup. But I'll be home during that time. I'll hope ffdp is on the same day as shinedown and I'd probably go!!

Yeah I'm pumped for Shinedown its the band I love the most out of all of them. FFDP is always good. I also can't wait for Incubus pretty big fan of them. Manson should be a interesting show always been a huge fan of him.Midstate01;1072293 wrote:Not crazy about the lineup. But I'll be home during that time. Y-Town SteelhoundBest lineup they've had in a few years IMO...
-
osudarby08This lineup blows IMO. The only bands I would pay to see at a smaller venue are Megadeth, Mastodon and Down...but I would go to see Volbeat, Rob Zombie (Great Show), and....Cypress Hill! I don't know why I got my hopes up this year, ROTR has gotten progressively worse since 2009. My only hope is the first 3 I mentioned play on the same day.
Ill save my money for Mayhem Festival, even though its laughable that Slipknot is headlining over Slayer. -

Incubus puts on a spectacular show... -

To each his own I suppose... From my experience radio rawk bands dont sound very good musically live. I was hoping the Foo Fighters would be one of the headliners, but yet another year goes by where my favorite "rock" band doesn't come and everyone has to suffer with bands like Theory of a Deadman.
I've seen Shinedown before and they were definitely overrated. I wouldn't mind Slash, Myles Kennedy is a great vocalist. -
JerseyBuckOnly one worth seeing would be Incubus. I'll pass.

Disagree. Is incubus even rock??? -

Foo Fighters would have been awesome. And that sucks to here about Shinedown hopefully they put on a good show at RotR. Also I thought last years lineup was amazing I was pumped to see like 75% the bands that played.osudarby08;1072342 wrote:To each his own I suppose... If you liked the bands from last year then we just have different tastes in music, and you will enjoy Shinedown lolIliketurtles;1072396 wrote:Foo Fighters would have been awesome. I Wear PantsI always think the line up for this thing is shitty.
Not my scene I guess. -
Fab4RunnerI'll be there both days. My brother and I go with a group of friends every year and always have a blast. It is obviously impossible to please everyone. I see some people saying this is the best lineup yet and some saying it is the worst. Happens every single year. I've never been disappointed in a lineup...I always go and have an amazing weekend. I've seen a lot of the bands already and almost all of them put on a great show, IMO. Unless you really hate all types of rock music, I feel like it would be impossible to go and have a shitty time. I love a lot of the music and performances, but it's also about the experience with friends and family for me.

Agreed. Not a big fan of mainstream rock.I Wear Pants;1072417 wrote:I always think the line up for this thing is shitty.

Although, I do think it's interesting that both Escape the Fate and Falling in Reverse are going to be there. Hell, now they just need Blessthefall to make the show really awkward. -

They already have Attack Attack! that shit makes me want to cut my ears off.Early Cuyler;1072437 wrote:Agreed. Not a big fan of mainstream rock.

wes_mantoothSaw Zombie and Manson at ozzfest several years ago...amazing. I may go just to see those two.
-
IggyPride00Slash (w/ Myles Kennedy) put on a great set if you're a GNR fan.
Looking at the list seems there is a little bit of something for everyone. -
sherm03I saw Chevelle this past summer when they were opening up for Bush. They put on a pretty solid show.
-
sjmvsfscs08I would only want to see Incubus, so I won't be going.
Hope this helps. -
SnotBubblesRock is dead.
Lady Gaga on the Range is alive. -
GOONx19Incubus is by far the top act. The only better live show I've ever seen is Chili Peppers.
-
Raw Dawgin' itSick line up, if i lived in Columbus i'd go in a heart beat.
